Jenny Craig > Celebrating Success > Halfway to Goal Weight

I am a college educated person, Am I the only one that finds the Jenny Craig site difficult to navigate?
I am on the 4th week, and two pounds away from my half-way point. I only have 15 to use. I could use some support.

Hi there,

I've done okay with navigating the JC site--let me know how I can help you! I find these boards to be really supportive and helpful, so definitely make sure you get comfortable using them. I'm a teacher on Spring Break, and, given the economic climate, my fiance and I have decided not to go anywhere this year. As a result, I could easily just be snacking constantly for the next week and a half, but, instead, I come to the boards for a little support and motivation before I open the fridge door. Usually, by the time I'm done reading and responding to a couple of posts, the desire is gone and I'm back on my feet!

Let me know how I can support you or help you with the site!

Thanks for the reply and support! I do not get to these boards often enough, between work, grad school and home life, but you are right they do seem to help. This week I have found that when I do not exercise, I seem to lose weight, but when I use the recumbant bike I gain. Wierd. This weekend there are some new movies out and I know my husband and I will go. Ususally we get a big bucket of popcorn. Any suggestions on how I can resist? Especially since I weigh in the next day.

Whenever I go to the movies I'll usually get myself a diet soda and I'll bring a Jenny snack. Or any low fat, low cal snack that you use. The Jenny popcorn is really yummy and so sometimes I'll pop it, stick it in a bag and take it to the theatre with me.

Take a look in the Dining Out book at Movie Treats

a small popcorn WITHOUT butter is 400 calories and 27 g of fat, 2 starch and 5 fat exchanges
a small popcorn with butter is 630 calories and 50 g of fat, 2 starch and 10 fat exhanges

that should be enough to keep you away fromt he movie theater popcorn. I usually go after dinner so I am not hungry and buy a water.
