I really enjoy the Fish and Chips! I was wondering how you go about Volumizing it? I have tried to think of ways, but keep coming up with nothing. Any suggestions would be appreciated!
Thank you.

I'm just learning about volumizing so I don't know if this counts. I'm having the fish and chips for dinner tonight.

I'm making a small coleslaw for myself from a bag of red cabbage, green cabbage, carrots, and I'm adding a bit of onion and putting Henry's FF honey dijon dressing on it for a tangy coleslaw.

Roasted turnips can substitute for fried potatoes. Cut them in wedges and toss in some of your dressing and/or a small amount of balsmic vineger. Roast in your oven about 20 mins at 375 or 400, and you can munch on extra "fries" guilt free.

My favorite is the Jenny Craig Gourmet's cole slaw.

Thank you everyone for their suggestions. I bought some coleslaw mix today so I am going to try that first. The roasted turnips sounds like a good idea also. Again thank you all for your suggestions!

I had them for the first time every (3 month in the summer). I avoided them thinking that is would not be good. Bo was I wrong. I bake them on a cookies sheet, make my own sauce. I want then even week now. Can't wait until next time. tongue.gif

I don't know if anyone thought of this. I made this when I was on Weight Watchers. You get cauliflower - and put in fat free sour cream - other things to add if you want is margarine. But it might not even be necessary. I used also fat free cheese and milk as well but since I'm only on 1500 cal now I'll just put the frat free sour cream. It will be a milk and an unlimited vegetable. It can be added to your fish and chips to make it the 9 ounces that the other foods are.... And it is filling.

Hi--I actually tried the Island Style Fish Tacos from the "Creative Hawaiian-Style Recipes-Entrees", in the Volumterics Hawaiian Style Cookbook. It came out really good...it does add 2 starches though because of the tacos. But once I made this, I changed a few things and have different types of fish tacos now. Plus there's another fish taco recipe in the regular Creative Recipes book...pg 54...you use 2 tortillas, reduced fat mayo, lime wedge, 1/2 c shredded cabbage. 1/4 c of salsa verde.....it addes 1 fat, 2 starch, 3 free. I've also used the fat free whole wheat hamburg rolls and made a fish sandwich using those.

I make "Cole Slaw"....by using the package mix and I add more carrots, red cabbage, radishes, parsley and then I use the Walden Farms Blue Cheese dressing or Walden farms Caesar Dressing to mix it all together. It goes great with the Fish n Chips. I also make this when I have the Cookout Chicken and Beans.

Hope this helps-
Lynn
