How do you know if your Counselor is telling you the right things?

Hi Jill -
I've been on the plan since Jan. 2008. The success of the Jenny Craig centre you attend depends on the success of its clients. This is how you know your Counselor is telling you the right things.
If you suspect or feel your Counselor isn't telling you the right things then you should ask to speak with your centre manager. Voice your concerns, ask questions - they want you to succeed.
I have spent the last 8 months in limbo because of my own fault of not following the plan. I finally admitted this to my Counselor - she had been beating her head against the wall because she couldn't understand why I wasn't losing when I still have over 50 lbs. to go.
It's the most difficult thing to know you have "cheated" on the diet but not been truthful about it at the weekly meeting. I'm not saying anyone here in this forum is doing that... but if anyone reading this has - my heart genuinely goes out to you because I know exactly how you feel and where you are at.
My Counselor told me that even if you cannot excercise, the diet by itself should yield results - if you stick to the plan.
Tweetybrd: Find foods that have little or no calories. Sugar-free jello has 10 calories per 1/2 cup serving. Read package labels at the grocery store. If you are feeling hungry all the time you need to voice this to your Counselor. She/he can help you discover low calorie, low fat foods you can eat to help fill you up without messing up your Jenny plan.
If you have 10 lbs. to lose and you've just started the plan it will be a challenge. The old saying is, "the last 10 lbs. are always the hardest to lose." However, if you have 25 or more lbs. you'd like to get rid of then the 1200 calorie diet should work - but it's s-o-o-o-o important to eat only the planned food unless your Counselor gives you advice on additional, low-fat, low-calorie foods you can eat anytime.
I learned the hard way that cheating on the plan is cheating myself from reaching my goal. Now I am taking one day at a time, and fighting my way back so I will stay on the plan, stop cheating and start losing again.
