I weighed this morning and am happy to report another 3.2 lbs. lost for the week. This ends my first month on Jenny at 8 lbs. lost. I also took my measurements this morning and am down a total of 4.5", with the biggest loss coming from my hips....the HARDEST place for me to lose! I'm very happy with my progress especially since the last few diets I have tried, I have given up on after the first week or two. My goal for this month is to incorporate more exercise into my day. This is going to be very hard for me because I am coming off of a back injury (two ruptured disks) and I have been pretty sedentary for the past year because of that. I'm also afraid of reinjuring myself so that's going to be something for me to work through also. Wish me luck!

Kimmy- I'll be rooting for you!! You can do this!!
LeesaK68- WOW!! Congrats & great job your 1st month! Ouch, ruptured disk?..My suggestion would be to try out some yoga. I love my bikram yoga classes. Great for anyone, and the instructors will show you how to work thru any back injuries.
Well I just got back from my wi and I am down this week 0.6! I am hoping to lose at least 5 lbs by the end of April. I just sucks that I am on this fine line of making sure I eat enough vs not eating too much. Seems like I do well around 1300-1400 cals per day. And I know that my "bad" days are on the weekends when I struggle to get in 1000 cals. I've gotta start packing food in a cooler and carrying it around w/ me on the weekends also or schedule meal time reminders on my pda....how sad is that.
Anyways I hope with spring and warmer weather on the way, I can jumpstart my losses and get to goal finally.....Hope to hear from everyone else soon.

Hi All

I was astounded at my weight loss this Sat past... I was hoping for a couple pounds since I had a bad night tues? and really had to reel myself in .. I worked out 4 days pretty hard .. and came out with a 4.2 loss. I was very excited.. my home tanita scale gave me a clue it was going to be a good week

While they are not exact .. I know about how much I have lost when I get on there.. it was also what pushed me to do much better and exercise more after my tues night
I did get to the health club to workout sat .. got in almost 4 mi with treadmill and recumbant .. felt great

.. then I really really wanted to have chow fun for dinner.. thought i had earned it .. lol.. but i resisted this week .. came home to salisbury steak .. i feel much better than if i had gorged all my hard work away

Then sunday I gave in to the chow fun urge.. being so proud of myself that I ate a small portion and took it home.. then chowed the rest of the chow fun for dinner .. not good.. and have been on a downward spiral since then . it is not wed .. so far so good sun-tues was awful .. i am on the cusp of TOM and am gorging at night

.. i want out of this behaviour pattern so badly .. I need to work on this coping skill..
congrats to leesa YAY .. and Chris .. so cool .. you are both on track
hugs to all

I maintained this week .. which was lucky considering i was way off plan .. pms .. toooooo much .. i am still waiting on TOM... but it keeps evading me .. thank god for my workouts .. my ankle is so much better every day .. I am working on my time for 5 k .. and have also added in the weight machines .. 12-15 reps .. medium weights so I can try and tone and define the arms some

.. and shoulders etc... .my yoga workouts have been at home on demand .. i love them .. and the core cord workouts really work my abs..
sadly, i am gonna take the next 3 weeks off from jc center weighins but will be challenging myself to still meet my goal of onederland, by mar 30 before we take off on our disney vacation.. i know how to do momo .. i can manage it especially with working out.. My ex is behind again on support 1500 .. and wiht the trip coming up .. i am saving every penny so we can have a blast at disneyland and seaworld and i dont have to count every penny .. which is so stressful on vacation . .so any and all helpful ideas for momo .. are greatly appreciated

Hmmm..I guess my post yesterday didn't actually post. Well anyways I did wi yesterday and I gained 2.0!!!

I tell you I have no clue what is going on anymore. I am having these huge swings each week of up 1.5 down 2.0 then up again 2.0 ect...what gives? I cannot be actually gaining and losing 2 lbs of fat. I am feeling very disappointed and I refuse to think that this is where my weigh set point is. All thru high school & college I was 105-110 and all I am asking for now is to at least get to 120! I think I am going to have to go back to doing JC food 100%. No more of these DOMO's.
Yare- Welcome back!
Kimmy- Don't fret. You seem to have a good handle on things and its only 3 weeks. I'm sure you'll do fine.
KimsR1- Good for you for getting right back on plan. Remember that this is a lifestyle change and vacations will happen, events will happen and the most important thing is to just get right back on track afterwards. You are doing spectacular so far..Keep up the good work!
Will check in with everyone later!
Happy Thursday!

Chris, did you work out THIS much in HS and college .. is it possible you have gained more muscle and tone .. and those wont budge? Just an idea .. I saw you in that white bikini .. and I have to say .. oh mama .. u have lost since then .. you are looking fabulous!!
ok, I am not going to be able to get the JC visits in till next week or possibly til I get back from disney so . I have been going it on my own .. and using some LC meals, left over jc meals .. and many MOMO .. And am happy to report based on last sat am weigh in on my tanita scale .. throught this sat .. a 4.2 LOSS ... whoo hoooooo .. this makes me very excited because I am just 4 and a half ish pounds from ONE derland .. and 2 ish pounds from my halfway mark .. so , by the time I get back to JC . just before or after disney .. i should at my goal that I challenged myself to be at ,,, ONEderland !!!!
OK, the NSVs.. the non scale victories are amazing for me .. i can see my cheekbones more and more.. and my collar bones.. I used to be told I had such a sexy neckline .. collarbones and cleavage apparently .. I havent seen those collar bones for a LONG time.. there are clothes i am fitting into, that i had not imagined being in for a long time.. and my energy and cardio abiity is just increasing exponentially .. I am working on my 5 K timing .. I am HAPPIER .. have less fatigue .. and I am looking forward to events much more .. WOW, if i feel this great at 204 .. can you imagine what I might feel like at 160 ish ???
hugs to all

Weighed in today. Up about 2 lbs . . . hovering around 150. Feel more ready (lol) for a turn around. Spoke to my former boss and will be working more soon. Removing the financial stress will help a lot. Some guilt and heart tugs at not being with my son but he and my husband will adapt. I think I will be happier overall and that will be better for all of us. I ordered 1/2 JC for the week and scheduled a follow up appointment. When I'm working more, I plan to go back on full force again. xoxo to all the warriors.

Kimmy- Congrats on all you NSV!! And Woo hoo! Halfway and the ONEDERLAND here comes Kimmy!! Keep up the great job!
Ready- Financial stress is something I know all too well also. I'm sure your son & dh will understand.
I just got back from my wi and I am down 1.8. I am now doing only JC dinners to help w/ my budget. I am also hunting for a 2nd job so that I can make end meet here. All I can say is I am trying really hard to hang in there and not despair. Sorry for the big ole whine fest. I know I'll be fine and will find a way thru this.
I hope to hear from the rest of you later!

After last week's gain of a pound due to the "monthly monster", I'm happy to report a two pound loss this week! I've finally made it to the ten pound mark after being on JC for 6 weeks. It's coming off slowly, but surely.

LeesaK68- 10 lbs in 6 weeks is awesome!! You are doing great. I think slowly losing is not such a bad thing. I much rather lose slowly and keep it off than lose real quickly then gain it all back. Keep up the great work!
How did all the other Wednesday Warriors do this week? How are you guys doing? Struggles, victories, even NSV's...
Summertime is coming and I need to get my a** in gear!
Well Happy Friday & have a great weekend all!!

Have not been able to pull myself out of this over-eating phase. It is stress related. Nothing that monumental but it is impacting my sleep and eating and the subjective feeling of being wound up. Going to the gym but not as often or as intensely as before. Writing what I eat during the day and stopping the documentation as I go over-board in the evening. Wine is not helping matters in terms of self-control or calories. Meeting with my JC later today despite feeling resistant to going. Help.

Aww ready, stress is really a *****, huh? I have exactly the same issues. I'm not sleeping well not focusing well and thankfully I have nothing in my house to be snacking on. How did your meeting go w/ your JCC? Did she have any good advice for you?
Well I am up this week 1.2....nearly wipes out my loss of 1.8 from last week

Well really I have nothing more that I can do other than ride out this roller coaster ride.
Anyways hope all the Wed Warriors had better luck than me this week.

Hey Chris, sorry to hear about this week. Could it be normal fluctation? I agree stress does funky stuff to our bodies. I went to the health food store and picked up Valerin and teas with passion flower, camomile, etc. to help me unwind a bit. Not sure if it's helping yet. Fell asleep more easily and did not over-indulge last night. Trying hard to break the pattern. Kept going on JC chat to keep me focused. My JC thought I should get more structured with following JC and we are making follow up appointments before leaving instead of me scheduling them later. She thought I could post a before/after photo in my pantry to remind me what I want. Funny how when I reach for those snacks, I am not thinking "oh boy, I want to be fat." I am focused on the immediate gratification. I need to refocus my attention on the long term result. I can tell you I feel much better, prettier, younger, more energetic when I'm thinner. I'm starting my part time job (hey Chris, it's in LB, if you want to try to meet up one day) after spring break. At that point, I'm hoping to be able to go more full force back on JC. I'm planning out the days I'll go to the gym and trying to be better about doing things for myself. I actually think I'll do better working more. Expect to see me posting more here too. Maybe join a new challenge. Thinking of all of you.

I totally forgot to weigh myself when I woke up this morning. It wasn't until after I'd ate my breakfast and first snack of the day that I remembered. The scale still showed that I was down a pound, but I wonder how true that really was. I'm debating on changing my weigh-in day to Friday or Saturday. This middle of the week gig just isn't working for me.

Leesa, that's great. A lb after breakfast. When I'm in a good diet mode, I'll notice one or two days I'll dip to an all time low that I'll hit the following week as my regular weight. Keep up the good work. You can check in here still even if you weigh in on another day. Best of luck.
I was so so last night. Good intentions and actions all day and then blew it around 10 PM. Was shooting for 1200 but probably ended up around 1600. I should have just gone to bed. This weekend we're spending time with friends and there will be much temptation.

Hi Y'all,
I would love to join this thread. I had my first weigh in yesterday and was so excited I had to get on the scale three times. LOLOL I know first weeks are typically higher and next week will probably be another large number before I taper off to a more realiztic loss, but dang, that first 6.5 lbs sure does feel good. LOLOL
