Hi everyone, just wondering if anyone has this game for the wii and if you are seeing results. I thought I would try this before getting a wii fit. Are you seeing any success?

Thanks,
Jewell

Hi Jewell,

I do have this game. It's definitely worth checking out. It gives you lots of options in your workouts and adjusts the intensity of different sections in the workout. I also have the Wii Fit, but I think the Fitness Coach is more challenging than the games with the Wii Fit.

I have the personal fitness coach and really like it. what is great about it is it is one continuous amount of exercise, you do not have to keep telling the Wii what to do next. It will uses equipment you might already have if you tell it to - such as weights, a ball etc. If you do not have any, then it does not incoproates. It has aerobics, upper, lower core, yoga. I have done most, and it will be some aerobics, followed by some strength training for whatever period of time you choose. It is nice.

I have the My Fitness Coach game too and I love it! I don't have the Wii Fit yet. The Fitness Coach is awesome. It will stop during the workouts to ask you how you are doing, like if you can't keep up or if it's too easy, then it will adjust it on your next workout. You can also decrease/increase the difficulty with the touch of a button. There are different workouts you can try and pick different music/exercise areas, etc. There is also an option to use whatever exercise equipement you have at home (balance ball/hand weights, etc...) But you can also do it without any at all. I have never done any exercises before and had very little flexibility, and this game was perfect for me! I just started out on a 15-minute workout and I think I might be able to move up to a 30-minute workout soon. But anywho, I would recommend this game, but then again, it's the only one I've tried so, I don't have much to compare it to lol smile.gif I hope I helped at least a little bit. Take care!

I am a HUGE fan of this workout, and prefer it over the Wii Fit. That does serve its purpose, but I feel the My Fitness Coach is more effective at working you out. One of the neat features is that it will tell you how may calories you have burned at the end of a workout session. As mentioned before, you choose the type of workout you feel like doing that day, the duration, and it will tailor something for you based on your goals and measurements you put it when you first started the program. It has been key to helping me keep my weight off, as well as lose more inches. I truly look forward to working out with it.

I also LOVE this workout. I have been using it for a few weeks. I have done 13 workouts so far.

In my check in at the 10th workout without dieting and only losing a few lbs. I took like 2 inches off my waist, 1 1/2 off my hips, 1 inch off my thighs. Pretty amazing when I lost less than 5 lbs over that time.

Well I got mine in the mail Saturday, loaded all my profile info in late yesterday. So I am anxious to start tonight. I usually work out after my daughter goes to bed.

Thanks for all your input, it truly helped in my decision. The will fit I am just not sold on that yet.

Thanks, Jewell

I have both the Wii Fit and My Fitness Coach. The My Fitness Coach is awesome and totally worth the money... you should definately try it. I really prefer to workout outside... but on cold days it's a great workout. I actually work up more of a sweat with it than walking.

I have it and absolutely LOVE it. It keeps track of everything like your measurements, weight, strength and flexibility. There's an option to use your home equipment, like hand weights, balancing ball, etc. or you can go without using any equipment. As you progress through the game, the difficulty level raises based on questions she asks you and if it gets too tough, she adjust your program to fit you. Once you've had 9 or 10 workout sessions, you get the challenge and you get to record all your changes that were initial entered. Also, if you don't show up for a couple of days, she will call you out on it. She's like an animated personal trainer.

Another game that's coming out soon (May 19, 2009) is supposed to be even more advanced than My Fitness Coach. It's backed by Bob Greene (Oprah's Trainer) and looks like another winner. Plus, I think it comes with some exercise equipment. It's called EA Sports Active. Here's the website: http://www.easportsactive.com/home.action

Some of the exercises will include Dancing, Aerobic Dancing, Cardio Boxing (Like the Gold's Gym game), Tennis, Inline Skating, Running, Walking and I think regular sports fitness type exercises like squats, etc.

EA Sports Active is probably going to fly off the shelf at most store, so you might want to find a place where you can pre-order or reserve the game.

I'm really looking forward to EA Sports Active to use along with My Fitness Coach. Hope this information helps biggrin.gif

I have both and i like them both for different reasons...with the Wii Fit, I can do the yoga and strength training in small intervals...so i feel like i am accomplishing something and the sessions aren't too long so i am not straining myself...i also really like the advanced step class because i can do it while watching TV and it's straight cardio...which is SO good for me.
But i like Fitness Coach too because I am always doing something different and by challenging my body in different ways each time i work out, i never plateau!
i got both for Christmas and i have lost 25# and 14 " so far!!!!! for me, both programs are worth the investment...because both get me off the couch and doing something!!!!

Good luck with your new program... smile.gif sunshine

I like the Golds Gym Cardio Challenge for the wii.

Don't waste your money on the Jillian Michaels game.

I have both Wii fit and Fitness Coach. I LOVE FITNESS COACH! I workout on it everyday for the past 4 months. I do strength training and then I do cardio. I really recommend it. I will be trying the new active one too> I hear this is god too!

Granted it kicks my butt more and sometimes I get mad at it because I can't run worth crap but after I'm done I'm proud of myself!
