Full Version: Turkey Burger Delish!

Okay so my planned lunch for today was a turkey burger. I like them okay but today I really wasn't feelin it.

Soo I made something and it was amazing.

I took the turkey (w/out the bun) and microwaved it for about 3/4 minutes. After it was non-frozen, I took the "burger" out and chopped it up into little pieces and microwaved for a couple more minutes until it was a little on the dry side. Meanwhile I put the buns in the toaster and toasted them to a golden brown. When both were done, I took some Spicy chunky salsa and spread it on each bun, topped that with the shredded turkey, and then topped with a little bit of shredded lowfat cheese and parmesian cheese. Then I put the oven on 350, and baked for about 4 minutes until the cheese melted. Tastes like a meatball pizza... Seriously.

It was soo good and now I'll look at turkey burgers in a new light. Just wanted to share smile.gif

I do the same.. I load em up with all the fixins (except the cheese).... the only thing that bugs me is that they fall apart... anyone else have that problem?

So far, it's my favorite meal. I hope they never discontinue it.

I am afraid to try the turkey burger. Are there pieces of vegtable in it? I can't handle veggies at all, I drink V8 fusion to make up for it.

Yep, there are pieces of veggie in the burger. If you can't handle veggies then unfortunately the turkey burger might not be for you sad.gif
Which is too bad because it is definitely one of my favorites!

I have a question for stac129 -- How do you survive on this plan if you don't like veggies? I don't mean to be smart, I am honestly curious.

If I didn't seriously volumize my meals I would be climbing up the walls. Sometimes when I am overwhelmed with the urge to snack I can eat a whole half pound of baby carrots.
