Welcome Haynurse!

I don't think anybody in this age group has been a night shifter. Most are gainfully unemployed or retired.

One of my first consultants said that it doesnt matter what part of a 24 hour day, that you eat. You can binge eat and eat every morsel on the "Jenny Plan" in one meal. They don't care. I have a girlfriend that isn't on Jenny and she eats one meal a day. I tell her that is dangerous! Your body can think it is starving and hibernate the food and you gain weight. You can eat dinner for breakfast. Doesn't matter. Just get all of one day's food in each 24 hours.

You must have a plan foor eating now.... 2 meals a day? 3? or 4?

My hubby stays up LATE !!! No matter what time I have dinner, I am starving by 1am (our usual bedtime). My consultant told me to eat one of the water based soups. They are a 'fillers' like salads are. They have 2 recipes to make your own (on the back of the menu) or they sell these soups. I bought Progresso soups for Weight Watchers. I think it is 60 calories per serving.

Hope this is ok info for you! Welcome!!! Stay with it! You're worth it.

I worked swing shift and was on a diet plan for a couple of months and only had about 5 pounds to lose then. I found it easier on the night shift to stay with it. My kids were in school, my husband was at work and I took the allotted food with me and that was all I had to eat. It worked out great. Strange thing was it took me to the 2nd month before I lost and then the needed pounds were gone. I didn't learn how to control myself and I am married to a man who can eat anything and not gain weight. He likes to eat out a lot. I ballooned up and have been on JC for 20 weeks now. I have lost about 14 pounds. My goal is 45 so I have a way to go. I went to the doctor last week and she said it is 23 as I weighed more last year at this time than I did when I started JC so I am counting that.
My husband has all kinds of yummy foods in the house and I have managed to stay away from them. I have even gone with him to restaurants and ordered ice tea and watch him chow down. Amazing. Right now he has about 5 varieties of chips, candy, and cookies all over the house. I am amazed that I have left it all alone. There are times that I am so angry that his metabolism works so well and mine doesn't.
My other challenge right now is I have some arthritis in my feet and my walking has been curtailed due to the pain. I bought myself a cushion that resembles a ball chair and I can feel it working my core. They say it will help burn calories. It is something!!
I am off topic here, but I think just taking the food allotted causes you to have to eat just that. Forget the goodies in the lounge and the cafeteria. My daughter is a nurse in a hospital and I have been in the lounge and saw the yummy food that comes in. Yikes. You can do it. The fact that I am on the web ordering some new clothes makes it easy to look away. Plus I am removing some "fat" clothes!! I love it.
Hope you can too.
