I've been on the program for just about 5 months. My goal is to lose 28.4 pounds - I have 12.2 left to go. But in the last two months I've been losing just ounces each week or maintaining and maintaining without any sign of loss. I don't eat the free foods usually except for an occasional soupitizer. I think I really just need someone to motivate me.
No one that I know is trying to lose weight (and I've asked around!) so it's hard to find someone who knows how to say the right things. I need someone to say "get up and go to the gym" or remind me that a smaller portion of veggies is just fine and I don't need to fill the whole bowl.
The few people that know I am on Jenny can't seem to understand why I'm on this type of plateau and I don't know what to tell them! Any advice or motivation for someone who's following the program but no longer seeing the results?

Hi, I have been on Jenny approx. the same amount of time. I hit that plateau after 19lbs lost, I got discouraged but I figured it is better to plateau for a while than to gain it all back again(beacause I know I would). So I decided to stick with it, then i had a breakthrough and started loosing again, you can do it.

I have only been on the program for about 6 week but have not lost anything for 3 weeks. I feel for you. I am tryign to beleive that if I stick with it, it will work. I too find it hard to work out, or even walk. I work long hours and some people have suggested work out tapes but I have a very limited space to do that in. I feel like it is my fault.
One thing that I notice just yesterday was that I was not eating enough veggies. I am not getting enough calories. That is goign to be hard to fix to because I am not always somewhere I can "fix" something extra to eat.
I hope you see the scale move soon, just remember that you have to beleive. It will pay off. Right?

What's the other option to what we are all currently doing? Quitting, just getting frusterated and giving up? Then what? Gain it all back, heck no!
Whatever we are doing isn't working so it's likely that if we keep doing the same thing we will keep getting the same results. If your not getting in all the free foods make it easy on yourself, veggies wrapped in a wet paper towel will steam up in the microwave (check them after about a minute), I rinse and chop celery, carrots, bell pepper, and cucumber on sundays for the whole week I pack it seperately so it's ready to grab and go in the morning. I pack it with a little tuppoware of fat free ranch dip (ff sour cream and hidden valley ranch, 2tbs is only 30 calories! I use one of my limited foods for that) if you don't make it easy and convenient you wont do it.
As for exercise, I know it sucks (at least in the beginning) but once you start you will feel wierd not getting it in. For years I was a pretty lazy person and exercise just wasn't happening. When I began to see that the scale wasn't moving no matter what I did with my menu or how well I followed it I gave in and started walking. I always thought that I didn't have time but when I realized how many t.v. shows I followed, or magazines I read I realized I do have the time to make the time to do something that I deserve for myself. On some mornings I get up at 5am to go running...I know that I will be just as tired if I let myself sleep till 5:45 and I actually feel more energized throughout the day. It's a great feeling to feel like you earn your calories, knowing that you've burnt a copuple hundred extra and you need to feed your metabloism.
Good luck to everybody, thanks for letting me rant, I refueled my motivation by writing this to you. I have let some of these wonderful habits fall to the side as I made room for the holidays and excuses, excuses, excuses... so now I am back, on track, and it's going to feel so great when that scale says something a little lower next week.

I just bought this exercise thing for my mom and i find myself using it as well. If you don't have time to go walking or head to the gym or do exercise tapes...use this thing I bought my mom. Its one of those stretchy rubber things. I wish I knew the exact name, but I'm sure you've seen it on TV. YOu put your feet in the bottom and then hold on to the other end and do pullups, curlups and that sort of thing. It was less than 20 bucks and you can do rowing with it, work on your lower belly with it and work on your arms. And I swear, doing it for just about 15 minutes a day, you will feel it. It'll make you feel better knowing you are working out and it doesn't take very long at all! Plus, resistance training can be better towards your weight loss than just cardio.
