Full Version: Help me trick my husband!

I need a way to make the Jenny food not seem like Jenny food when I feed it to my husband for dinner. Long story short, if he knows he's eating pre-packaged food, he won't eat it. Fajitas, easy fix. I also used the idea of shredding the chicken sandwich meat and toasting the bun, which has worked well. Any other ideas out there?

Does he not open the freezer?

I keep them in the freezer at work.

You ARE tricky! smile.gif

Look on other threads for ways to volumize with free veggies... makes things look more home cooked. I saw a "recipe" for turning the enchiladas into soup that looked good! Broccoli or spinach mixed with the fettuchini, top with a sprinkle of parm cheese, mix the two entrees together and bake in the oven to brown the cheese.

For the potstickers, cashew chicken, and beef chow mein I stir-fry 1/2 bag of frozen stir-fry veggies w/ pam, add a tbs. of teriyaki sauce, put on a plate and top with my entree. If I have an extra fat to use, I top it all with a few nuts. Doesn't look like anything I would consider diet food.

I love to turn the potato soup into a vegetable chowder with mushrooms, carrots, and green beans. Plus you get to have a half sandwich along with, which is obviously homemade.

Why do you need to trick your husband?

Take care,
Angela
