So anyway.......

I'm at the grocery store yesterday, and in the frozen section, there is a sale on Kraft "South Beach Living" entree's. I read the nutrition information on the back. With the exception of a higher fat content, 10g. Everything else was in line with a JC meal. The Kung Pao Chicken was only 220 calories. I figured, hey, trying one of these has to be better for me than going out for REAL Kung Pao Chicken!

I took it home. Through it in the microwave, and ate it. It was fantastic! The vegetables were just ok, but the chicken was very flavorful, and the meal was satisfying. I'm guessing the better taste was a reflection of the higher fat.

No, I won't be switching allegiance to Kraft. But, I will have one of those Kung Pao Chickens once a week.
The Asian offerings by JC are lackluster. The cashew chicken is boring, and the pot-stickers are hit or miss.
Maybe I'm just happy to have a spicy dinner for a change.

Anyway, if these are available in your area, try one and report back. And JC, please get your chefs working
on one of the spicy Szechuan meals (Kung Pao, Orange Peel beef, Twice cooked pork, etc.)

Happy eating!

I love spicy too, but many do not. With limited selections, I think JC tends to lean towards the middle ground to appeal to more tastes. What I do is add spicy Thai chili garlic paste to many things. It gives a GREAT kick!! Super in the potstickers and beef chow mein.
