THIS IS THE OLD, ORIGINAL POST:

Hi Everyone,

I am in the market for a new pedometer. Does anyone know of a good, not so expensive one? Preferable a link or store near me.

I had an Eddie Bauer one and it use to be good, but it is not working.
My husband bought me a Sportline and it doesn't count properly.

I tried putting it on the way they recommend and various other positions! So I don't think it is that.

Thanks,
Stephanie

I HAVE SINCE FOUND ONE THAT I LIKE BY OMRON. I GOT IT OFF DRUGSTORE.COM WEBSITE. IT SEEMS PRETTY ACCURATE. THANKS FOR ALL YOUR HELP!

I bought the Jc pedometer, it's great in the fact that is stays on, but why is it that ANY pedometer I get, it adds more steps that you really walk? I've tested it, all of them do that so how do you really know you've walked what you needed to? it's very frustrating to me. I don't even put it on..

sad.gif Stephanie,I am so sorry, this is getting to be frustrating, isn't it?I love my pedometer, but a bodybugg is sounding pretty good today...Rick just bought me that complete Nintendo Wii system and he hasn't hooked it up..yet. Saturday on one of the forums, a Wii Christmas Challenge begins....that is cool..
I wish i could help you, do you want me to talk to my counselor tonight when she cals me for my WI results, she is a supervisor of some sort, maybe she would help....I am having a horrible day...i am so bloated, and emotionally drained. I hope this isn't the first time that I don' t loose weight...if that is the case, I will have a good cry...I hope your having an awesome day.....take-care and send me some good vibes and energy, and be thinking about me as I battle my scale... Take-care, Christine

Christine,

I left you this reply in the steppers forum, you haven't seen it yet, but here it is:

Hi Christine,
I am well, staying focused, and feeling positive. I am a little bit obsessed with the program, but I am unemployed right now and I'd rather take the time right now to develop good habits, that way when I do go back to work, it will be like 2nd nature! I'm not a big veggie and fruit eater, though I like them, so I'm learning the kinds and how I like them.
I plan on doing upper body tomorrow and back to lower on Thur. Don't want those legs to think they can get all mushy again! I think I do like my ped. I have been wearing since i got it from the mail, about 6pm, I already put 3400 steps on there. Kinda cool since 2/3s the day were already gone!
Thanks for asking and I hope your day is good too!
Stephanie

I hope your day gets better. Remember no matter what, if you are trying that is a win, the scales aren't always right. They don't take a lot of things into consideration! (Especially girly things!)

Mamabear - I got one finally and it is an Omron. It seems to do pretty good. I count a hundred steps, often, to test it out and it usually right on the money. Mine was 25$, which is more than the JC, but It does aerobic steps, calories, miles, and regular steps. I gets me excited to walk to see how far I can get!

To everyone else, I have a PEDOMETER now! Thanks for the help!
