I just had the new Turkey Panini.....its good!!! I left it open-faced and nuked slices of tomato on top of it and then added a little Walden Farms Thousand Island No Calorie/No fat dressing on top of that!!!. YUM! biggrin.gif

Now if they would just bring back the Cinnamon Twists!!!
Alshim
I would agree, it is good! I thought the bread was really good. What a great idea to have it open faced.

I give the panini a thumbs up. I folded it and ate it in the appropriate sandwich configuration. Loved the texture and finished product. It definitely needed something to give it a little more soul. I added fresh pepper.
I might do red pepper or a hot sauce next time.

This leaves the chicken sandwich in the dust!! I hope JC keeps this one on the menu.

This really is a winner...now I won't have to eat 2 turkey burgers a week. Cooked it in the toaster oven for approx. 20 minutes on 350, and it was perfect. Crispy outside, good filling...

Next time, I'll add some vegis and some dressing from my salad to top it off.

Ys to the Panini ... just had it ... I cooked inthe oven open faced on a baking stone, so the bread would toast nicely ...
added Harry and David's onion / pepper relish ... for a dash of spice ...

I'm for the Panini ... but only on days that I am home, with an oven avaialbe ... like the pizzas ... I don't like to microwave the bread products ....

thumbs up on the Panini
with a little kick of spice very nice ...

Hi-another idea for the Turkey Panini. This time I made it in the toaster oven, added some warmed canned sauerkraut, some Walden Farms Thousand Island dressing....viola.....Turkey Rueben! It wasn't too bad either!!
candy girl
I liked it too.
I was thinking next time a little red onion and sliced tomato.
Its nice to have something with regular bread.

Also sad sad.gif about the cinnamon twists.
srh
what about the cinnamon twists?
I bought them today (Capitola California)
are they going away?
if so ... that isn't right ... they were only here for a short time.
I love dipping them in my yogurt!

My center was out of them, but, I'm picking one up and some other food tomorrow. Thanks for the thread, I can't wait to try it! smile.gif

My center was out of them tonight, too sad.gif I hate that! When it's a new item, I don't understand why they can't use prior new item history and order enough!!

I can't wait to try it.
tntwin1
I knew they were being discontinued, i bought six the last time I was in.

My center in Studio City was offered me the new panini, but then they were out of it. Awwww. They don't have the cinnamon twists anymore either. Awwwww. I hope they never get rid of the Cookies & Cream Cheesecake.

P.S. srh, I looked at your ticker. You go girl, great job !!!

The turkey panini is a real YUCK. Mushy turkey with bits of tomato on tiny toast. I didn't even taste the cheese. sad.gif

I thought the bread stayed crispy even in the microwave. Although, the texture of the turkey reminded me of tuna fish with a strong smokey taste. I will probably have it again, but not anytime soon.

YUM!! I had this for the first time yesterday and it has become my favorite sandwich.... Very delish, Nice addition to an already wonderful line-up of food! biggrin.gif
Theatercrazy
Although the look of it (open-faced) isn't very appealing, the taste is wonderful. I hope they keep it around for a long time.

Yum! Had the Panini yesterday for lunch! I loved it! I needed something new and good at this point in my weight loss journey with JC.
Next time I will put some sliced plum tomatoes on it and maybe some fresh basil-yum!!!
I really miss the twists and chocolate mint bars though sad.gif
But-my consultant told me that they are coming out with pumpkin spice cake in a few weeks! YUM! warm with fat free cool whip=heaven! lol!
hope everyone has a great week!
take care

WOW!!! This sandwich was great. If Jenny really wants us to lose, they wouldn't keep this as a temporary item. They would let us have all the things we like that we could have. If you want this to stay perminant, let your voice be heard and just maybe we will get another fantastic lunch.

.

I have to agree with Lori. the mushy turkey filling was a real turn off.

I tried the panini and I did like it but next time I will prepare it differently. My hubby did comment on how small ot looked when put together. next time I plan to serve it open face style with tomato, roasted red pepper, or whatever I have. The filling did sort of much out when I took a bite so the open face style will solve a few problems. But overall I would vote yes for it to stay.
NOVAMom
Just tried mine today and I liked it. I ate it open faced and I also added a piece of fat free cheese - half on each side. The idea of actually having bread was great - one thing I miss is bread!

I agree that the turkey panini was mushy & yucky. The picture and description of it on the website is very misleading. Tender chunks of turkey????????????? More like strained baby food. I won't be wasting my money on this one.

I tried the Panini today... tasted good; just was prepared for it to be "turkey salad." I was expecting turkey sliced. I did like it though. Had it open faced with a salad.

I didnt get it b/c it has pork on it it looked good in the photo though.
Teacake
I think it's OK but I wouldn't say it's the best thing since sliced bread or anything. I actually like the Lean Cuisine panini's better. The JC one has the consistency of canned mush or baby food. Lean Cuisine gives you real pieces of meat. I agree that the photo is misleading.

I LOVE the Turkey Panini. I would love for JC to keep this on the menu. I wonder how they decide what to keep and what not to. I agree that they never have enough in the centers. The temporary items are always gone before the end of the month. It sucks! I hope they check this website and see how many people love the new panini.
Holly210
This was a great food. Sorry to see it left. It was perfect to take to work for lunch. Loved it. I hope they bring it back.
luvs2lose
Yuck. I had it today and I didnt like the texture of the turkey. I was expecting slices of turkey not a paste. Not sad to see it gone.....
