Well i have to tell you, this has got to be the best snack yet.
I remember before doing JC i would go to Honey Dew Donuts and by a Cinnamon stick and tea for breakfast.Im so excited about this snack.I worked it out with my JC Consultant to have it as a breakfast with tea in the morning. But you have to add food to make up for the loss in calories. So i am adding a boiled egg.She said it was ok.So just don't think of them as a snack but also as a breakfast if you like.
One consulant also said to nook it and it tastes even better. I bought 24 boxes.
JC PLEASE DON'T TAKE THE CINNAMON TWISTS AWAY!! tHEY ARE AWESOME!

They look allot like a product that is already on the market/in the grocery store. I'm trying to remember who makes them. They were a big One Point each "Hit" when I did Weight Watchers. I found them at Walgreen's and also at Publix. They are about 8 inches long and come in a box, several flavors available. I recall they were very good, but a little TOO EZ to eat several, which defeats the "low cal" factor. That alone makes me think twice about buying the JC ones. I'm horrible with snacks like that- but that's just me.
I'll search around and see if I can find the name of those things. Will report back to you all!

Found it! Knew if I could SEE the brand name, I'd recognize it. Barry's Bakery.
Here they are-
http://www.barrysbakery.com/shop/cart.php?...p;category_id=1Not sure how they "stack up" to the NI on the JC ones. You can compare- you've got a few boxes, right?!

They were not expensive either- not sure why it shows $18 on their site- I recall they were not an extravagance. There's also a store locator on the Barry's site-find in your area.

since the cinammon twists are not equal nutritionally to a breakfast, a lot of my clients are having them as breakfast and having a breakfast as a snack instead!!
For example, breakfast-cinnamon twists, snack-anytime bar, lunch-jc food, dinner-jc food, snack-oatmeal breakfast square or honey oat bar!
hope this helps.

Can I ask where you got them, Oscar? I checked the website for a couple of provinces and it says nothing is available. I see you're in Alberta; I'm in Ontario. Did you buy them in the U.S.?
Thanks,
Rhonda

Just tried them last night. I'm sure there are a number of people that like them. I give them an "eh???"
It wasn't bad tasting. But it didn't blow my socks off. I'd much rather do a cake.
Anyway, happy to have new food items to try. And please bring back the Red, White and Blue cheesecakes!!

I was expecting big stuff from these little twists, but I didn't really like them much either. My favorite snacks are still the chocolate cake and the toffee chips. These were a little too hard for me, I guess.

Just a warning about the Barry's link above, those don't contain any protein. So they aren't going to be nutritionally comparable and probably won't be as filling.

Well, I think they are awesome. I've eaten cinnamon twists before and these are much better but lower in fat and calories. I vote for making them permanent. Why are all the great foods lately temporary????

I love these too. Try cooking an apple in the microwave with cinnamon and a tsp of Spenda Brown Sugar. Then crumble the cinnamon twists on top. Sooooo good! Tastes like apple crisp. I better stock up if they are only going to have these in August.

Oh My gosh.. they ARE good. I saw the Barry's brand in Shaws. The bag was $3.19 and there were six in it.. such a deal. AND they had lots of flavors. Did someone say the nutritional value was different than JC? Because I did not check that on the label. The calorie count was definitely the same, though.

Yep, they are very different products. JC's have tons of protein and the barry's have zero protein in them. They are also made with different ingredients.

The new cinnamon twist are the best thing I have tried. They are great with a cup of Chocolate Truffle coffee. They will really get you over a hump when you just want something extra.

They really aren't THAT different, largely because Barry's Bakery makes the JC twists (I saw the box they came in when my center was receiving a food shipment during one of my appointments). They do up the protein content in the JC version, by using a mixture of soy flour and wheat flour (rather than just wheat flour), and by adding a tiny bit of egg white to them. Otherwise, the ingredients are exactly the same. If you really love these and want to have them occasionally after JC discontinues them, you could probably get the Barry's twists, and just make sure you have some of the higher protein JC meals during the rest of the day to make up for the 5 grams of protein. Just a thought.

Aren't they gone? I went to my center on Friday and they said they were out and not getting anymore! I didn't even get to taste one!

that must depend upon the size of the supply at each center? I was able to get them the other day in with my week's snack items.

PLEASE BRING BACK THE CINNANMON TWISTS!!!!!!!
I went to my appt today and I was told they were all gone. This snack should be on the PERMANENT food list not the temporary one.

I have to agree ... these are absolutely delish!! I stocked up on my last visit and boy am I glad I did... because that following week they were totally out... I bought the last one. My mom and I even decided to see if other centers in our area had any left we went to one office and a lady had bought an entire box! We were lucky and found some at another center today and were able to get a few more. Hopefully with the overwhelming response to them they will make it on the permanent foods list.

keeping my fingers crossed!

I'm eating these as I write. They're fantastic. Very satisfying. I'm afraid to really become a fan of them, because every time I like a certain food, it's taken off the menu. haha Hope that J. C. keeps these around a while.

I made a ' kind of ' apple pie with mine

....... sliced up an Apple and sprinkled with cinnamon. Nuked that for a couple of minutes? then broke up the Twists into 'bits' over top the apple and nuked a bit longer. It was sooooo yummmy.
