Well, since money is tight and I just hate paying $2.99 for 6 little cups of SF Jello, here is what I did. I sprayed my muffin tin VERY lightly with Pam. Not sure if I needed to, but just in case. Then I made a large box of SF Jello, using 2 cups hot water and 2 cups sparkling water ( no cals, no sodium.) Then I used my ladle to pour it into the muffin tins and covered it with cling wrap. Presto - SF Jello for under 10 cents a cup! When it sets I slide them all gently into a large bowl, cover and serve individually, with my usual fruit and Cool Whip!

If you need indivdual servings of jello to be portable (ie if you eat them with lunch like I do) glad ware makes a small round bowl with a very good fitting lid that is perfect serving size. They come 8 to a pack for around $2.50 at Target, wal-mart or your local grocery store. I also use these to measure canned/jarred/frozen fruit from larger packs if I want to take it to work with me. The containers are completely reusable so you only need to buy them once!

What a fantastic idea! I would have never thought to use a cupcake tin. Thanks for sharing such a great tip.

Actually, DanceDiva, those are just what I use for my Jello. They even hold up well in the dishwasher.

Our local grocery stores (Publix, Target, Wal-Mart) all carry some 12-packs of some off-branded gelatin in the regrigerated section. You get 12 for $2.48, which isn't as good as the 10 cents/cup but definitely better than 6 for the same price!

Great ideas, I haven't been buying jello, becuase I though it was such a rip off for water and flavored power, but these are awesome ways to stretch that buck! Thanks :-)

A great idea for saving money when it comes to Jenny foods is getting your own bottle of dressings and syrups. Remember to portion...one bottle will go a long way and you won't be spending as much money. Another solution is replacing your anytime bars with a 110 calorie or less yougurt, 2% string cheese or 2% cottage cheese.
