Hi i just started last week and could really use some help. My family is great and really try to keep me going but it's not the same as someone who is in the same boat as you. I am 28 years old with one child..I use to be able to lose the pounds But it's so slow moving and sometimes I feel as if it not moving at all.. i just moved to pa from long Island so i don't really have any friends here yet so most of the time i am with my daughter..would love a Grow up to talk to LOL..

hi Chrissy, how are you doing now that it has been a few more days. I am from PA too near the philadelphia area. I totally know what you mean by loosing weight is slow. It seems like it will be forever until I am the weight I want to be but I think one of the keys is that you have to enjoy the small changes along the way like loose waistbands! I have only been on JC for a few weeks but so far so good. Write me any time! I'd love to have a support buddy. My family is great but it is hard for them to relate, no one really has a weight problem. I am sure they are thinking here she goes again, this will last a few weeks then she will be done. I am determined to make this work for me!

I'm in the Pittsburgh area and just started the program last week. Since I hit my 40s, and quit smoking, I have been struggling with keeping my weight in check for the past few years. I just couldn't seem to do it on my own so I decided to give Jenny Craig a try -so far I have lost 4 lbs the first week! It seems that my biggest issue has been portion control. I hope once I get used to eating smaller amounts of specific types of food I will be able to maintain my weight once I hit my goal.

Congratulations PA 573, I think if JC does do one thing well it is helping with portion control. I am in week 4 and find that I fill up alot faster. I was at my sisters for dinner on Sunday and she made a fruit dessert (knowing that I was on the program) and I really couldn't eat more than a little of what she gave me even knowing that it was healthy. I can see my self having to go back on the plan as a reminder after I reach my goal weight but the assistance is always there to retrain and remind yourself what a healthy portion is like.
