I have a 4 month old daughter, Olivia, and I'm devistated with how being pregnant has left my body. I am completely in love with Olivia and love spending all my time with her, but I had no idea that I would end up looking like this. I was heavy before I got pregnant (about 20lbs overweight) and now I've about 70 lbs to lose. Anyone else in the same boat??

I have a five year old and finally took off the weight I gained while pregnant. I had begun to think that I'd never take off the lbs and would just look matronly. I feel like I have my old self back. I lost 33 lbs and 24 inches so far. I want to lose another 13 lbs to get to my ultimate goal. You can do it. Good for you for starting this program while your baby is so young.

Hi, Absolutely I am in the same boat!! I gained over 45 lbs from being pregnant. I decided to do something about it when some asked me if I was expecting again. Needless to say, I want to give her a piece of my mind at that time but I should be thanking her. I really am going to try to stick with this. I try to walk in the evening as much as I can after my son is asleep at 8-8:30 pm. He is now 10 months old and is definitely worth the not so desireable body changes.

But you have to remember small changes need to take place first. Your body is still adjusting from being pregnanct and it takes awhile. You joined JC and that's a great start. Please feel free to contact me if you need support or want to talk. crn0504@yahoo.com EJ10

Hi! I totally understand the feeling of being overweight after pregnancy. I was on bed rest and gained a lot after that. I'started JC back in April, and so far I lost 31 lbs! Only 19 lbs to go! I'm very excited about that, because after pregnancy I was a tight size 14! And now I starting to fit in size 8 pants. Pretty soon I will be back to my size 4 jeans, I hope!

Anyway, hang in there, the weight WILL melt away w/ JC! And, as a new/first-time mom myself, I think it is great not to have to worry about what I'm going to eat. Who has time for that when breastfeeding takes the whole day? The menu "thinks" for me, so it's one less thing I have to worry about.

Don't expect to lose a lot per week. Don't put extra pressure on yourself! I've been losing 1.5-2 lbs a week. It's not too much, but I think it's good enough for me!

Good luck!

Hi! I am a new mom as well - well sort of, I just had my 3rd baby 7 1/2 weeks ago. I was overweight before I got pregnant the first time. I gained 32 lbs with that pregnancy and hadn't lost it all before I got pregnant with number 2. I then did Weight Watchers and lost about 50 lbs before I got pregnant with our 3rd and last child. I unfortunately gained 40 lbs back with the pregnancy. I lost 26 of those on my own and have lost another 5 with Jenny Craig (joined on July 15th). I am enjoying most of the food with the exception of the hot maple cereal, veg and chicken potstickers, chicken parmesan and italian wedding soup. I agree that with small kids to look after the convenience of being "told" what to eat and when to eat it really appealed to me. I barely have time to take a shower or do the laundry let alone cook! wink.gif

Look forward to getting to know some of you better!

I am totally IN the same boat. Was probably 15-20 pounds heavier than I should've been before getting "accidentally" pregnant on our honeymoon. Gained nearly 70 pounds with the pregnancy and want to lose 50 or so. It's hard and this is my 1st week on the program. I really needed something easy to follow because it's so hard for me to find the time to cook, let alone eat healthy. I lost 1.5 pounds the first week (still chowing down on Starbucks) so I figure I'll be doing it slowly since I'm not ready to give that up.
By the way, my newbie is almost 5 months old. He was born on March 12.

Hey girls!
I just decided yesterday to start Jenny Craig because I had my baby boy Cayden back in March and while being pregnant I gained 60 lbs on top of being 155lbs. Now that he is 6 months old, I am starting to get very upset with the weight that I still have not been able to get rid of. I got a 3 month gym pass at the beginning of summer and that was put to waste because I have no motivation (also going through a divorce) and I just really want my body back before I had my son. I lost a ton of weight 3 years ago and did it the wrong way I should say and I want to make sure that this time I do it the right way. So I think starting JC and getting my gym pass again I'll work 10x harder knowing that I'm spending good money to help me look good again. Do any of you new moms have any suggestions on what more I could do and what I should expect when I start Jenny? I'm at 185 right now and need to be back down at 145 again. If anyone could give me some advice here that would be great to get me started!!

Thanks,
Jenny

Hi!

We are all so much alike. I have about 40 pounds to lose, following 2 babies in 2 years. My smallest is 5 months old. We also have a 12-year-old. I gained wt. with that one too, and did JC to lose that weight.

I start Wed. and I am SO EXCITED!!

I am dreaming of a complete makeover. I want to feel LIGHT again, and enjoy life. I have my family now, and I want to be here for my children, long into the future. I am 35 now...so I'll be 53 when my youngest graguates from HS. Yikes.

Good luck to all us new moms!!

Hi Ladies,

I too am a new mom. My 2nd kiddo is 9 weeks old. So far, I have been on Jenny for 4 weeks and have lost 7.7 pounds!! I can't wait to lose the 25-30 more that I'd like to lose. Honestly, I only have about 10-15 more left to get to pre-pregnancy weight, but I'd like to take advantage of the progress I'm making and continue on my path to get to my goal. So far it's going well....can't wait to get the next few pounds off and start hitting double digits.

It's hard to not be hard on myself for gaining so much weight while I was pregnant, but that part is over with and we can't change the past. All we can do is realize it took us time to put the weight on and unfortunately, despite all the celebrities losing 30 pounds in a blink, it's going to take us time to take it off as well.....boo-hoo.

Best of luck to you all!

Stacy

start weight 185.6
Current: 178.1 (4 weeks into program)
Goal: 145 smile.gif

I am totally in the same boat. I have a 4 month old Aaden Lane..He turned 4 months the 6th. I am so devesteed everyday my weight is all i think about. I fit into nothing, I look so BIG, i never in my wildest dreams thought i would be over 200 lbs but i am.. i am losing very slowly, but thats because i have not purchased jenny yet. I KNOW IT WORKS!!! BUT at the moment it unaffordable with the baby, and loss of my husbands job. I know i need portion control and balanced meals... So just stick to it I am telling you if i could be doing it i would because this is an awesome program that really does work!!!
