Hello everyone
I notice that there are a lot of you on here that have the Nitendo Wii sports / Wii Fit / DDR in the forum.
If anyone is interested is there away that we can incorporate a wii- fitness challenge on the forum I don't know but i really enjoy playing/working out with it and i want to know how it is helping others in their activity levels and is it really working for you. Also have weekly challenges to get a certain amount of fitness points/ hour in per week and to check in with each others. Just a thought please let me know what you think.
cheers

Awesome!!!,
I'll guess we will start by finding out everyones favorites section and this way we can start out that way. I am aware that some of us may have section unlock that others don't but that can be some of our weekly goals to unlock new levels and exercises. So I will start.
My fav section:Aerobics
Hula hoops -- Unlocked Super Hula Hoops
Running-- Unlocked Long Distance Running, Island Running and Free Running
Boxing -- Unlocked advance 6 minutes.
second section: Yoga
Deep breathing-100%
half moon
warrior -- unlocked standing knee, palm tree
strengh training
unlocked rowing squats, single leg twist, sidway leg twist, plank
Balance(absolutly bad at. lol)
unlocked, tightrope walk, balance bubble, penguin slide
so far total time on wii 2 hrs i will be adding to that later today. first day on wii fit 07/09/08 used everyday accept on 7/11. so along with my activity log i have a total of 4 hours.
So my first goal is to get at least solid 30 min a day on the wii-fit. please suggest other challenges also. all are welcome and it make this challenge different from all others on this forum. look forward to the challenge.
Bring your fit game on! LOL

I started this challenge and am still very interested in continuing it. As I am officially down 29lbs and i need more motivation to kick my activity up a notch as there are things that i have unlock but yet to try on the Wii so if we can have an official kick off for the Wii- challenge that will be great!!!
I am ready to get in to gear becuase now is the best time it is right before the Holidays and that mean we will work harder not to fall off track during the Holidays...
Look for the 1st challenge to be posted By OCT 31. or you can post one Before then if you like I will just join on either way... Let the games/(gain) Begin!!!
*gain = healthy living, energy, toning, and weight loss.*

I have a JC Pedometer,do you? I love to step. I am up to over 45,000 steps in one day (several times...) I put it on asa I get up in the morning....There is a pedometer challenge on here that I do too.....
My name is Christine, what is yours. I have lost 40lbs in 3 months and almost 2 weeks(weigh-in on Wednesdays). I need some more motivation because i am getting married for the first time on May 30,2009......Let me know when we begin..Thanks, Christine

I am looking forward to participating in the new challenge!
I was a little bit fed up with wii fit, so last week I bought "Jillian Michaels Fitness Ultimatum 2009". I thought it was really bad, so I sold it in a Gamestop and bought "Active Life Outdoor Challenge". I really recommend it because it really gets your heart pumping. Also, the mat that goes with it is a great alternative to the wii board (you can jump and run on it).
Have a great week!

I was on the Wii Fit for 30 minutes last night. I unlocked several new exercises, which is always fun. Especially since a few of them are longer than the basic exercises. I love the Super Hola-Hoop and also the Advanced Step. (I'm finally getting the hang of that.) I'm trying to get at least 90 minutes of Wii a week. (I also play tennis 2x per week and am doing Zumba twice a week.)
I feel like I'm not doing much when I'm doing the balance and yoga exercises, but I know it's good for my core and will help with posture and balance.
Christine - you mentioned a Christmas Weight Loss Challenge - where did you see this? I've been looking on the 28 Day Challenge thread, but haven't seen it.
Good luck to all!
- Jill

I like outdoor challenge too, I sweat more with it than the Wii fit.
Why was Jillians Micheals so bad? Can you give me why you didn't like it?

Hello all,
I am aware that I did not specify the name of the challenge. please excuse me for that.
If you have not fond the new challenge yet (some of you did glad to see you there), The name of the thread/ challenge is
Wii Challenge You
hope to see you all there.
as an added note there is no time frame to join everyone is welcome. Drop me a note and let me know your thoughts.
Let the Game/Challeng begin...

Oscar T. Grouch: Jilliann Michaels was bad because
- there are very few games
- the controls don't respond very well
The only good things are:
- the scale is really precise
- the calories burned are measured accurately (I have the bodybugg to confirm it)
