Hi Nikann, I'm not in Grand Junction but I am in Colorado (Denver area). If you want a virtual buddy let me know. I have about 80 pounds to lose, and I'm struggling with food and exercise (I'm facing a potential knee surgery that will have me non-weight-bearing for about 3 - 6 weeks). I seem to keep starting over, so it would be nice having someone who is at the same point as I to get focused again. I've been on JC three times now. The first time I was very successful with the food and exercise, but not successful doing it on my own (I never got past the half-way mark as I met my boyfriend and starting eating out more). The second time I quit because the center director treated my consultant so harshly in front of me that she started crying. There's a new center director now and I'm going to make the third time the charm. I understand if you want someone local, but I'm here if you need to talk. By the way, my family is in Delta and Crawford -- not too far from Junction.

Hi there!
I would love a virtual buddy!
This is my first time with JG and I've lost about 20 pounds so far, but still have about 70 to go.
How's your knee?
I understand about meeting a man and then going out more. I met my boyfriend about 10 months ago and gained 20 pounds. Great to be in love, but I need to find a better avenue to comfort my emotions! Look forward to hearing from you!

Hi Nikki,
Sorry it has taken so long for me to reply!!! My life has been super crazy, and things just got out of control. I had a slight gain from last week. I seem to be "smaller" than I was at the same weight so I think I have more muscle. I'm just holding on to that right now as to not get depressed over the numbers. With as long as I have been on the program, I have learned to not focus only on the scale. It's easier said than done. How are you doing?
My knee is improving tremendously through physical therapy. I still have bad days, but the bad days are being outnumbered by the good days now. That's a great improvement, which I am becoming very optimistic about.
I'm on travel right now for work, and I'm finding it hard to go to places with healthy food options. I am a soda junkie, thought, and the thought of paying $2.00 per bottle really got me thinking. I found a market down the street from the hotel and purchased a 1-liter bottle of water which I can refill during the meetings. I'm going to drink some water! I am so happy with that throught. I even "congratulated" myself with the purcahse of a magazine to help me through the evening hours when I normally focus on junk food while at hotels. It's the anxiety of being by myself that gets me every time. I was going to bring my snacks and cereals with me in my suitcase, but I packed in such a hurry that I forgot.
Well, I hope I didn't write too much. I hope you are enjoying the beautiful (not-so-hot) weather I hear Colorado is having right now. My parents' heat came on last night for the first time since the end of winter.
Have a great day!

Hi - my name is Monica and I'm in Grand Junction. My three year old son and I would love to have someone to go on walks/hikes with, etc. I don't have as much to lose, but I can be a great support as I have family members who have a lot to lose themselves. Anyways - I'd love to be a buddy and have buddy, even if it's just a phone call now and then.

I'm in Grand Junction. Tomorrow is the end of week 2 for me. Hopefully the scale will be kind. I would really lik to find someone local to talk to about this process. Everyone I know doesn't quite understand the whole JC process because they have not done it or can't afford to do it. How is everyone doing?
