Do any of you have some suggestions for the turkey burger? I usually heat it a little in the microwave, then finish it in a skillet and eat it with hamburger fixing's. I'm kinda tired of eating it that way. I would love any and all suggestions for this meal. Thanks a ton!!

I've done a bunch of different things with it...
1. Using a little bit of wasabi mayonaise (instead of my salad dressing) to give it an extra kick of spice.
2. Heating it up in the microwave, breaking it into smaller pieces, and mixing it with a little bit of tomato paste and spices (as well as some mushrooms) in a skillet to make it more of a 'sloppy joe.'
3. The terriyaki sauce and pineapple suggestion from Creative Recipes is pretty good.
4. Turning it into a Caprese sandwich (this works with the Chicken Sandwich, too). So... a big slice of heirloom tomato, fresh basil, and then a sprinkling of reduced fat mozzarella cheese.
5. Going 'Southwestern' with some salsa, fat free sour cream and fresh cilantro.
6. Topping it with oven roasted veggies (eggplant, red pepper and red onion).
It's my favorite JC meal, and I'm particularly fond of using that little bit of wasabi mayonaise. But the Caprese version is also really good - it's just pricey to get fresh herbs so I don't do it very often.

paper thin slices of cucumber, skin still on, topped with chopped green chile, and a dash of black pepper with a toasted bun - it's how I like it best.

I agree with the group - it is one of my Fav/ Lunch items. If you are at home here is a suggestion. I nuke the turkey burger by itself less than 1 min to thaw it ..... meantime I slice up green peppers, fresh mushrooms, some onion and Saute that a few minutes...... you could add spices to this Mix to give it some Zing... some red pepper flakes etc..... crumble the turkey burger and add to it..... toast the Bun until nice and brown...... then set that on a plate and spoon over the Sauteed Mixture.... drizzle with thawed, warmed BBQ sauce and eat with a knife and Fork " Open Faced" style........ I really enjoy it this way.

I just invented this one tonight!
Turkey Burger Sloppy Joe (Who needs Manwich??)
Cook the JC turkey burger in the microwave on high for one minute.
Meanwhile, coat a small non-stick frying pan with PAM and add about a tablespoon each of chopped green pepper and onion. Sauté over medium heat until just translucent.
Add the turkey burger and chop it up in the pan with a plastic utensil.
Turn heat down to low.
Add to the pan about a tablespoon of ketchup and a teaspoon each of prepared yellow mustard (or any mustard you like) and tomato paste.
Note: you may omit the tomato paste if you don't have a tube and instead use tomato sauce or increase the ketchup or use half of the barbecue sauce that came with the JC burger, although this will make it taste very barbecue-y.
Sprinkle lightly with garlic powder, dried oregano and chili powder.
If mixture is very dry, add a little water until it makes a sauce to the consistency you like.
Stir until well mixed and heated through.
Serve on the bun that came with the turkey burger.
You may omit any ingredients that you don't like and add any that you do until you get it to taste the way you like it. Note that you will not need salt or pepper added because the turkey burger already comes fully seasoned with them and ketchup has salt in it anyway.
Enjoy!

Well this too is one of my favs! If you are home, throw it up on the grill, as you would any other burger and fix it up with spicy BBQ sauce. Also, someone in another group mentioned cutting up the meat into a salad and using 1 serving of ur limited foods to butter up the bread with garlic and toasting it as crutons. I think that was for the chicken sandwich but ou can try it here. ALso the ideas above sound yummy!

Make it into a taco or burrito filling - substitute a small whole wheat tortilla for the bun and add diced lettuce, tomato, salsa, a little lowfat grated cheese, a dollop of light sour cream.

Thaw a Turkey burger, let it soak in some Worschester sauce for a few minutes, then grill it outside on
a charcoal BBQ. Toast the bun. 86 the sauce packet. Dress the burger with nice quality toppings. Fresh lettuce, crunchy pickles, some red onion, and some Grey Poupon.
Enjoy!!!
