So I found out today that JC is stopping the quesadillas!!! What is that about! I am so upset about this, it was a lunch I actually enjoyed. I hope the bring them back soon!

I havent tried that (I am actually re-joining JC on May 19th after my vacation).

But have you tried the Weight Watchers Smart One's Chicken Quesadilla's? I dont know how they compare. But it may be a good subsitute if JC no longer make's their's.

I went for my consultant today and saw a memo on my consultant's desk and it said that the Ques. were having packaging issues. Something was wrong with the wrapper!! Yucks

Maybe if they fix the packaging they will bring it back?

They are fixing the packaging and bringing them back. The packaging was smoking and blackening in some microwaves.

You should try the Smart Ones, they are really good and cheesy. They are pretty filling for being so small and only 220 calories.

Maybe they could leave the original wrapping and just change the name to Quesadilla Incendio!

It says they're a temporary item on the package. But I wouldn't be surprised if they had a packaging issue because I didn't think it was easy to use. I couldn't get into it without using a scissor and even then it was tricky! I also had the weird bubbling and charring of the package in the microwave. Not pleasant.

My package did this weird bubbling melting thing in the microwave - definitely not a good thing, it looked kind of like bubble wrap that had been melted when I took it out. The good news it that the Quesadilla was fine (and tasted good) but it's probably better if they don't risk microwaves being engulfed in flames.

I really hope that they bring the Quesadilla back as a permanent item - their lunch menu is the weakest part of the program and it was a nice change of pace.

I've only had the Q's once...but I really liked them and was hoping to order them again. I love the tortillas...they are so filling and they were nice and cheesy....

I bought two; my consultant said that as long as I didn't microwave them in their original packaging they would be fine. Evidently there is a problem with the microwaveable wrapper. I didn't want to return the food like we had to do with the beef meals. The food is fine; just the wrapper is having problems in some microwaves.

I too am very upset that they took away the new quesadilla. But I understand and respect the safety issue. However, I didn't have any problems with mine. I bought 3 of them when they were first offered. They were no longer available the very next week. So I'm glad I went ahead and ordered more than one.

Anyway, I cooked mine in the microwave as per the directions except I cooked it for only 2 1/2 mins. instead of the recommended 3 mins. Then I wrangled it out of the funky packaging using my kitchen scissors, sprayed the tortilla with butter-flavored PAM, and grilled it on my George Foreman grill until the tortilla was crispy and had those slightly brown lines on it (makes it look good). It came out wonderful! I added a bit a fajita seasoning before putting it on the GF grill, and then added very crispy lettuce after taking it off the grill. Mmmmmm. So good! A bit of fat-free sour cream would have gone well with it too. But I didn't have any.

I have one more quesadilla in my freezer that I'm going to have today for lunch. I'm looking forward to it. But I did find the WW Smart Ones Chicken & Cheese Quesadilla at the grocery store yesterday and was elated at the find. I hope it's as good as the JC one so that I can substitute that one until JC gets its act together with their product.

Has anyone tried the WW quesadilla yet? Is it as good as the JC one?

I hope that they find a way to fix the wrapper problem and bring them back, they were one of my favorites.

I only had the quesadillas twice when they first came out and quickly became a favorite. They were gone by the time I went back to get more. I don't recall having any problems with them. The weight watchers quesadillas are good too! Good alternative until JC brings it back...hopefully!
