I need some new music and wondered what worked well for everyone else. I LOVE country and have some Dixie Chicks, JoDee Mesina and even some Cheryl Crowe ( I know, not country). Earl's Gotta Die (Goodbye Earl) for some reason is a fav.

Any upbeat country tunes you like for exercise?

Off topic.... tonight I had a major epiphany. I can home from work, had my yogurt and put my teriyaki salmon in the oven by programming the oven to start in 1 hour set time cook for 33 min. I came home from the gym and dinner was done! It tastes so much better cooked in the oven.

what degrees do you bake it at?

350 per the instructions on the box. I added an extra 3 minutes since the oven wasn't pre-heated.

laugh.gif I love your little dancin chick! So glad to see someone else out there that STILL loves & listens to the DIXIE CHICKS~ I think Natalie has the most beautiful voice ever. I love to listen to Martina McBride and Alison Kraus I also downloaded some Anne Murray Sp? that i love. I listen to alot of Soundtracks from inspiring movies, sometimes while I am walking i can see the scenes in the movies. I love Out of Africa, Rudy and Hoosiers Music they are all really upbeat. I bet Dolly Parton would be fun to exercise to!

Oh goodness, when I saw this topic I had to respond!
I recently got an IPOD. I would never listen to music but rather watch the news as I ran.

I ended up getting an Ipod because for wakeboard tower I thought, "Why not, I work hard, I workout even harder and I deserve it"

Well, the music i was listening to ,pop, R&B, RAP was not working for me while I was running, it was making me even more sluggish. Well all of a sudden anhot air ballooning Brisbane Indian song came on, (a coworker gave me a bunch of songs to copy from him) and OH MY GOSH that music had me running to the beat and energized and pumped up. So I recommend you at least try it! and PS I am not Indian

Not sure if you alrady seen my comment on a song by Miley Cyrus. It's the climb. Is the name of the song you can locate it on utube and hear the entire song.

She sings about her goals. It's not about how fast you get there by taking your time and taking it day by day.
It's a great song for your ipod for the weight loss challenge.

I know this is pathetic and tacky, but I downloaded the song Proud by Richard Niles. It's the theme song from Biggest Loser. I find that when I'm having a hard time completing an exercise I can do it with that song on! I also like listening to current tunes and imagine myself young and at a club again! I picture myself on the dance floor in a drop dead outfit and it gives me that push to finish the run, or do another lunge!
