Full Version: Jenny Direct Gives No Support

I joined Jenny Direct about 3 weeks ago. I have had a total of three calls scheduled and not one call was made on time. I had to call the first time after waiting over an hour. I had to call again the next week after waiting 5 1/2 hours and was told there was confusion due to the time zone! I had to call yet again after the third call was made on the wrong date and at the wrong time. After leaving 3 different messages, and waiting the full 24 hours for a call-back between leaving messages, someone called back 3 hours after I left work although I informed them of when I was leaving. I finally spoke to someone last night.

This was irritating enough to deal with, but this morning I received an e-mail chastising me for missing my call and telling me how I can get "back on-track"!! They have GOT to be kidding me!

I am doing in Centre... and have never missed an appointment, but I got one of those emails "Sorry we missed you". So, there might be a glitch they haven't worked out yet. Missing the appointments so glaringly is inexcusable. I would try asking for a supervisor or someone that can solve the problems for you.

Even though it sounds like you're start up has been VERY frustrating at best... I hope they can work things out on the JC so you can experience what a great program this is! Hang in there!

I know a lot of people have had trouble with their JD phone consultants. My consultant, Juana, called me on time every week, at either my cell or home number (sometimes she had to try both to reach me) for a year. She never missed a call and was never more than 3 minutes early or late. I can't say the same for myself. And she was helpful, realistic and knowledgeable about the program. I think you should ask for a different consultant.

I've only been on the program a week, but the same has happened to me...the consultant never called. I haven't had time to call them during business hours, but sent an email through the support page and haven't gotten a response. I have a centre not too far away, but am just covered up with meetings all week and can't be sure to be there every week. So, I signed up for Jenny Direct. I will try to call this weekend. I've done well anyway, though. biggrin.gif

I too joined Jenny Direct.................I found after spending the fee, which i thought was high, the consaultants were not matched up at all. I called and wanted a female and close to my age. I also find the web site is not user friendly. the food is great and I have done well I started June 11th and have lost 15 pounds that i would not have done without the food and books.

I am also doing Jenny Direct, and have found there to be a pretty big quality variation between the JCCs I've spoken to. The first one was a bit shallow, and then left to take another job withinthe compnay without sending an email or anything to let me know. Then I got bounced around to a few different people, but I requested to have the same consultant each week and I like the one I've got now. She's very encouraging and has good suggestions. She's also very reliable. I'd say speak up about what you need and if you need to speak to a supervisor. Good luck.

I have been on Jenny Direct for a out 6 weeks and I have never had my JCC miss an appointment or been late by more than a minute or two. I started with one JC and after one week she decided to no longer work weekends so I was given the option of changing my weigh in day or switch to a new JCC. I had an interm JCC for one week and the following week was assigned to my current JCC. All three of these were wonderful!! I definately like my current JCC the best but then again I have been with her the longest. I would strongly recommend speaking to a superior and making your request clear and concise. I believe my JCC has been an important part of my weight loss and motivation. You are paying for those services and deserve to have someone standing behind you and supporting you all the way.

I agree, only a couple weeks for me but she calls right on time, first time i missed her call so she left message with her extension, I called her right back and she picked up immediatley. She is also very knowledgable and supportive and I am really happy! I would definatley switch since you are having so many problems, thats not right!

I have a question..I am not on Jenny Direct. I actually go to the center and meet with a consultant. I want to know exactly what her role is supposed to be. She seems to do nothing more than take my food order. When weight loss is not so encouraging she asks if there was any 'cheating' and when I tell her no she says..well at least you didn't gain weight!! I hear all these people talk about how invaluable their consultant is and I'm not sure if that is simply the sales pitch. What should she be doing. I have lost 7.5 pounds my first 3 weeks and I am not dicouraged but feel that is is very slow. I know Jenny says 1-2 pounds a week but I don;t usually lose this slow and as for my husband. He is very discouraged. He has lost less than me and we have both been good as gold???

I am on JC Direct too, and have been for 10 weeks. My JCC has been on time everytime and I have no complaints. Do know that there was some confusion my first week and I received calls from two different consultants and I was able to choose which one I wanted. Might be a snafu in the system, so give 'er another try. Welcome aboard.

9:00pm EVERY Friday night Darcy calls me and we have a girl chat for 30 minutes....I have a health problem that leaves me many times in emense pain all over my body..so much so that I can't talk on the phone..When Darcy calls I feel my pain lifting like a fog lifts after a heavy rain! Just hearing her voice makes me feel better and after about 5 minutes I am laughing and excited about life again. Even when the pain meds aren't working the call lifts the pain away. I have lost 30 lbs and Darcy helps me figure things our!!I really don't want to have to wait a week to talk to her, so i enjoy it even more..my neighbor always asks about my Jenny Girl..it is like she knows her too. ASK for another counsler....If I had to go to a center I probably wouldn't do as well....We even email thru the week and if i have a question it is answered as soon a I hit send..BY Darcy herself!!

Sounds like some of you got angels and others got ????? I began in July with JCDirect. At the time I couldn't go the 1 1/2 hrs to my closest centre and I wanted to get started. My consultant called each week at the scheduled time and was pleasant and encouraging. I was even able to reschedule when I unexpectedly found that I would be gone during a scheduled session. This last week when I said I found a way to get to a centre once a month to get my food she didn't schedule a final consultation. (shipping costs would pay for almost 2 weeks of food) I should have gotten one more for my 4th week with direct. I suppose since she wasn't getting her commision from my order she just closed the book on me.

I hope that my new consultant is invested in my success. Personalities play an important part in the types of support you get. I know I don't need a scolding mother (not that all are), but a friend to listen and help me stay on the correct path. I WILL NOT HESITATE to seek someone that will work with me. Don't settle. This is a difficult enough journey. We need the support that JC promises.

We all want "Darcys" and it's up to JC to make sure we get them.

I am sorry to hear that your experience in the JC Center is not what it should be! The first counselor I had was just an "order" taker and I was really disappointed too!

But I had to meet with another counselor because the other one took a day off and guess what? The new one is actually great! She does take my food order and ask about cheating but she does more! We talk about strategies for eating out, ways to stay motivated, exercise ideas, etc.

It seems that every week she gets to know me better and finds ways to encourage me in my choices! That is what you need so ask for a new counselor! Keep asking until you and yours husband get who you need!

By the way, weight loss is slower for some people than others! Don't be discouraged!

Just so you know, Jenny Direct and going to a center are completely separate things, once you got your food from a center you became a center client, not a Jenny Direct client, therefore your consultant was no longer allowed to consult you. Once you picked up your food from a center they should have given you a consultant there.

Hey, Darcy sits right next to me at Jenny Direct! We are good friends. If you don't mind, I will pass this along to her, I know it will make her day to know how much one of her clients appreciates her smile.gif
(This is why I love my job! It is wonderful to know that we consultants can really help people on their journey!)

And I second the idea to ask for another consultant if yours isn't working out. There are like 100 of us, just keep going through the list until you find a "click", it is bound to happen!

It's really true that our consultants do make a huge difference! I've been on JC Direct for a year and I now have a consultant that I love!! Jessika really cares about me, makes me feel important and always has the time to help me whether it's been a good week or bad. I am SO happy with Jessika, I can't believe it, and it's made all the difference.

I lost my last consultant because she took a leave of absence, and while I liked her, she was giving up on me. My good weeks, she was good, my bad, she was bad. She didn't really know what to say when I was having a hard time. I was kind of upset when she took the leave of absence, but now I'm realizing it was the best thing for me! LOL

I'm so blessed to have Jessika! She bubbly, understanding and doesn't just read to me off her script. I feel she really wants me to succeed!!

So with that said, don't give up on JC Direct. Find the consultant that fits your personality. Believe me, even though I've been slow in taking off the weight, it's weight I could never get off before, so I feel that JC has been a success for me. Having a great consultant is just making the journey that much better!

this really helps me i have had the same problem. my consultant is nice, but she just takes my order and weight. i'm nervous to ask for a new one though. i dont want to hurt her feelings.

I have been with Jenny Craig for 3 weeks and am very happy. I have the best consultant. I was going to a grad party for my nephew who received his "Chef Degree". Everyone was to bring a very special dish. I ate before I left and did some tasting. I still lost weight. I do eat the food, which is good and feel that is my control.

Honestly, don't worry about it. People request new consultants all the time. We are used to it. The program is about YOU and having a good consultant can make all the difference. If you need more support than you are getting, assert yourself and ask for it. I doubt you will hurt anyone's feelings.

I have Darcy on Thursdays at 7pm. She is the bomb! I love her! She's very supportive and can make me laugh. She's just the greatest!

I have been on Jenny Craig direct twice. Both times I had great consultants. I have Rachel now and she always calls on time and we talk about far more than my weight and my order...for heavens sake. Get a new consultant. You are paying for their support.

Your Jenny Consultant is one of the most powerful tools you have to keep you motivated, answer questions, and give you support. Dont cheat yourself out of getting the most for your time and your money.

My consultant handles both my husband and I, and it is a great system for both of us.
