I saw a notice at my center that all the Meatloaf and Salisbury Steak dinners purchased before today (Feb 27) is being recalled by Jenny Craig and should be returned.

Does anyone know anything about this? Are there specifics lots that are affected?
Why isn't there a notice on the website about this recall?

ack! i haven't ordered that in a while, but i did in january and ATE it...umm, but nothing happend to me!!

Hmmm, nothing noted at my center in Great Neck, NY. I had the Salisbury Steak last night for dinner and all is well.

I'm supposed to have it tonite for the first time...I hope it's not the last if you know what I mean!

It is probably just a precaution from the recent meat recalls. I had the meatloaf 3 times this week. Just tonight actually. I have Salisbury steak for tomorrow nite. I will eat it cause I wouldn't see the recall til Saturday. I'm not worried about it.

I just went into my center tonight. If you bring in your dinners they will exchange them for new ones.

My JCC advised that there is nothing wrong with the dinners. There was something on the news about the manufacturer or supplier to the manufacturer dealing with stories (don't know if they are true or not) about cruelty to animals. Again, it's heresay as I had not heard anything about it. I had both the Meatloaf and the Salisbury Steak this week. I'm bummed because they are two of my favorites - lots of meat. My JCC advised that both items should eventually be back in the food line up as soon as they find a different manufacturer/supplier.

I haven't seen anything at mine. Maybe it depends with when the center last ordered. Mine still has the sirloin w/ rice.

My centre replaced my 3 salisbury steak meals with the chicken fettucine meals. I received a copy of the memo which I am posting separately.

Iam so upset and appalled of the treatment of those animals! I wish I had known sooner because I've already eaten one of the Meatloaf dinners that was recalled!! The news reports say that the risk is low for any problems for Ecoli but......... what about future Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease !! I feel we have been let down by the USDA(I think that's what it's called) I will not eat any JC foods that contain beef!! Or purchase any beef products ever again! Sorry, but I'm venting and worried...



P.S The reports say that the Beef recall is dating back from any beef from 2006!!!
