I love keeping track of my activity for the day, but this system on the website is NOT very user friendly. You have to enter not only how long you were active, but at least the time you STARTED. I would like a much more simplified version, where I could enter by date what I did for that day. Also, the "rating" of it seems almost useless to me, and I am not fully certain why that is there? (Or how to do it.) It seems very cumbersome, so I have started to actually use SparkPeople to track my workouts and activity.

I use an elliptical glider at level 3 and use the personal trainer routine and in 20 minutes I burn 184 calories based on my weight. There is not option to cover this activity. Could it be added on or one of the selections for health club activity. This is a very complex tool and needs to be simplified. If I use the health club equipment and it gives me a calories burned reading I should be able to enter this as a simple calories burned activity.

Sounds crazy but I've always loved to exercise. tongue.gif I also find the exercise portion of Jenny too cumbersome,detailed and doesn't have the options for the exercise I do. By the time I fill all that info out I could have warmed up and at least a third if not half way through my exercise. I love the journal and the quiz though. I got some really good advice off the quiz to personlize your style. I have lots of dvd workouts-yoga, hiphop abs(which is really fun, effective and easy-to me anyway), i have a stretch workout I love that last 15 min, belly dancing which is more relaxing than you think, Billy blanks tae bow-man is his stuff difficult!, kickboxing. I like to pick one style and work on it a month or just a couple of weeks then switch. You can go to Ross dress for less and get dvd's for 6.95, 7.95! We also have a stationery bike which is good to sweat out the excess water. Adding lemon to your water acts as a natural diaretic. Of course we have our two dogs to walk as well! Anyway just wanted to share w/someone who gets into activity too. My main motivation to lose weigh is when I can't get my pants up! When my stomach roll over them and cuts into my gut. I lost 27 before and my clothes wwere falling off. I felt great and everyone noticed. I put some back on b/c I didn't stay attentive or wasn't able to transition from losing to maintaining. I'm looking forward to that light , free feeling again!!!!!!!!!!

I've been on JC for almost 2 weeks and the only thing that was surprisingly disappointing was the activity planner. I stopped using it already. I have a home print out that keeps track much easier. The way you have to enter each activity one at a time when most of mine are repeats is so time consuming. I hope they change it. rolleyes.gif

I don't trust health club machines, but I *do* trust my heart rate monitor. I would love a way to manually enter information from a workout such as my HR and calories burned based on my HRM instead of "stock" calorie counting activities! Plus, sometimes I don't do the activities that are listed there!

I would love to be able to keep track of my activities, but the system here is so user UNfriendly that it's not worth using. I am in week 5 now on JC and doing great. I am doing 10 min sessions on my glider 3 times a day. It almost takes longer to fill out the info to add this to my planner, only to get inaccurate results.

My suggestions ...
Add OTHER as an activity and let us fill out what it is we do.
Give us the option to fill in our own calories burned, since those of us with machines have a display that tells us how many calories we burned during each session.
Give us better Time Options. I do not do my excersize at 10:02 each day, I do mine in the morning, in the afternoon, and again in the evening. I would think it is more important that we do the excersizing at consistant times of days not exact times. So give us the ability to say I'll do 10 or 15 min in the afternoon. Better chance of not failing and feeling bad if you have the afternoon to do you 12:14 workout.
Allow us the ability to say this is a Daily Activity. This way we only have to enter the actual information one time and it will auto repeat. Then on a daily basis we can check off our activities as we do them. Right now trying to enter 3 sessions per day per week takes longer than a session and I think I can do better things with my time.


If the planner worked this way, I would love to use it.

I agree. The whole website is NOT user friendly. It takes much too long to plan a menu and enter any kind of exercise. I have actully stopped using the website for many months now because of this, but now I feel that I have invested a great amount of money on this program and hope that the webmasters will take our concerns and do something with the WHOLE webpage. NOT USER FRIENDLY AT ALL!!!! please make updates soon!!!!
