I had the first JC food that I thought was absolutly disgusting....the Salmon!
It was like eating fishy sawdust. I like fish but this was horrible. I choked it down but I will never order it again. I am also not fond of the Pasta Fagioli (sp), the beans have a weird texture. Other than that I have really enjoyed the food.

Breakfast: Complete Start Cereal
Lunch: Tortellini Soup
Supper: BBQ Chicken Pizza
Snackl: Bruschetta Chips
I will never order any of these again! Isn't it funny, though, how we all have different likes and dislikes! Some people's least favorites are my true favorites.

I hope anyone new at this doesn't read this site. I agree the salad kits are terrible. I don't eat any of the soups either. The anytime bars are by far the worst. I actually enjoy the pizzas. I cook up some mushrooms and add them. Also I cook my pizzas in a toaster over all the time and haven't had any problems. We all have different tastes thats for sure.

I just had the tuna salad kit and actually really enjoyed it. To start, I put a slice of tomato on the cracker, then a dollop of the tuna salad, then some sliced up pickle. It was actually really tasty. I was dreading it because I'd read in here that most people thought it was awful, but I really liked it.
I could not stomach the chicken and corn chowder. It tasted like old gym socks to me. And the cereals are kind of bland. Special K has about the same calories and is much tastier in my opinion.

Funny, I am usually very fussy with frozen and pre-packed meals, but so far I am very happy with the JC food! The only thing I didn't really like was the salmon - it was too sweet and the fish had a "fishy" taste. The chinese style dishes tend to be a little sweet for me, but a dose of Tabasco fixes that!

I also liked the tuna salad kit. I'll try it your style next time, sounds like good ways to volumize it.

I hate the turkey club panini.
Not brave enough to try the salad kits.
The shelf stable rotini actually wasn't that bad.
Cashew chicken and the turkey burger are my current favorites.

This is really fun to read. I LOVE the potstickers and I love the tofu in it! I also LOVE the cookout chicken and beans. I kept putting off eating this one because I thought it looked gross on the package but it’s really good and filling!!! The chicken falls apart like pulled pork! Love it! My other faves are chicken fettuccini, mac & cheese, French toast, stuffed sandwiches for lunch, zesty tortellini soup, baked potato. I have been really happy with the food. Have been on it for two months now. Not a big fan of the fish & chips, beef chili (but turkey chili is awesome!) Oh and I like the fajita style chicken salad (cat food) kit! I thought that was a riot that you guys call it that because it does look (and kinda smell) like cat food…but I like it…I’m weird! The mashed potatoes with gravy are kinda gross too.

The only thing that I cannot bear to eat again is the Pasta Fagioli. Disgusting. I'm not fond of the Cheese Ravioli either. Luckily, my boyfriend will douse them with hot sauce and wolf them right down. =) I will not be ordering these two again. Everything else I've tried - I've really liked!

I have added my dislikes before, but this thread is HILARIOUS!! It just goes to show that so many people have different tastes and YOU MUST try the foods for yourself.
Here are some tips on some of the disliked items:
Chicken Fajitas - COOK in a skillet, 100% non-negotiable!! I always add a FF cheese slice to each tortilla and a small amount of salsa... I would eat daily if I wasn't afraid of getting bored.
Fish & Chips - COOK in the over, 100% non-negotiable!! The fish will get crispy and the fries too. I tried this way back when in the microwave and vowed to never eat it again. Gave it a whirl after reading about someone loving it IN THE OVEN and man, was I ever missing out!
Personal Lunch Pizza - COOK in the oven. I find that the tomatoes make it TOO soggy if you cook it in the microwave... this makes it nice and crispy. Also, add other veggies to SPICE it up!
BBQ Beef Panini - it looks like CAT VOMIT, but is SUPER tasty. I slap a lettuce or a tomato on it before pulling it out of the microwave so I don't HAVE to look at it!!
Chicken Sandwich - COOK the chicken on a grill (George Forman works great). I agree that the chicken is 'tough' when microwaved, but not overly bad on a grill. I also eat the chicken seperate from the bun and add veggies
Those are all I can think of right now... hope that helps someone to give something a SECOND shot!
Enjoy!

Oh this thread is hillarious! It's amazing to see the likes and dislikes!
For me, so far I can NOT eat
Swedish Meatballs
Meatloaf
Chicken and Corn Chowder (Ugh!!!!)
Chicken and BBQ Pizza
Some of my favs
Broccoli and Cheese Potato (good with lots of extra broccoli)
Chicken Fajita (Done in skillet with extra veggies and onion and a dollop of FF sour cream)
Turkey burger (In oven then topped with a thin slice of pineapple)
You ABSOLUTELY must try this! I had this last night. I saved my fruit for the evening. So I chopped up my brownie into bite sizes. Sliced up half of a banana. (For my two limited - Added two Tbsp of FF Coolwhip and one tsp of choc. syrup!) OMG! Too die for!

Pesto Pizza-I have both baked and microwaved it. Total disappointment.
Ended up going out later that night for non program food, but stayed in contro.
Not hot on the honey mustard pretzels either.
LOVE everything else I've had so far.
Not, bad. huh?

Keep the doctoring up food ideas coming! Us 'Weenies need the advice! (us weenies? we weenies? ...... i think it's we weenies but us weenies sound better)
Foods I never want to eat again:
Breakfast: Oatmeal Square Bar, Honey Oat Bar (made me think I was in a barn eating hay)
Lunch: Clam chowder soup (made me think of watered down flour, even my DH that LOVES clam chowder wouldn't eat it)
Southwestern Chicken Burrito (filling is good, tortilla is cardboard)
Dinner: None thus far, some are up there though
Favorites:
Breakfast: Breakfast Scramble
Lunch: Beef Chow Mein
Dinner: Self Rising Pizza (it's as good as pizza that I have found here so far, why must EVERY pizza on the east coast be NY style?!?!)

I love the Sunshine Sandwich for breakfast, that's my favorite. The other hot breakfasts are good too. I'm not so jazzed with the cereals -- they just don't seem to fill me like a hot breakfast does. I'm not a fan of soups for lunch for the same reason -- they just don't seem as filling. The frozen stuff is way better than the shelf stable, but I have to say that overall, JC food is really good. I'm pleasantly surprised. This is my first week on program and now I wonder what took me so long to find JC.
Try putting your cold cereals in greek N/F yogurt (instead of milk) and mix in your fruit. (frozen blueberries are good) Add a little vanilla flavor, maple flavor, & stevia to the yogurt. Very tastie, and more filling than using N/F milk! Good Luck...........

I have been on plan on and off for a couple years and generally like the food. I actually crave a few of them when I have been on my hiatuses
My new least favorite is the bbq chicken pizza. I tried it once before but decided I was going to retry everything again. I could not even eat one bite. Love the regular rising crust pizza though.

I also do this and it's wonderful. The greek style nonfat yogurt is thick and creamy and has a lot of protein. Adding the fruit and the cereal turns it into a breakfast parfait! It takes longer to eat than having the cereal with milk and it keeps you feeling full longer.

it seems like this post is still alive and well after over a year! haha...
the kits aren't my favorite but the only way i have found to truly enjoy them is to add 1 tbsp of full fat mayo to the chicken or tuna and put over a salad. sometimes i crunch the crackers over it and its similiar to having croutons.
dislikes:
bbq beef panini
cookout chicken with beans...actually ive never tried this one, im too scared!!

There was a great thread on the old board in which people listed their LEAST favorite Jenny foods. I just thought I'd create a new one since it was such an interesting thread and it doesn't seem to have survived the upgrade. It amazes me how some people hate some of my favorites and love some of the ones I hate!
Anyway, my LEAST favorite Jenny foods are:
The Tuna and Chicken Salad kits (Cat food kits!)
The Italian Wedding Soup
The Pesto Pizza (you can't put it in a toaster oven)
The Chicken Pasta Parmesan
The Ravioli (and I love ravioli, just not this one!)

I'm only on my third week and was totally surprised at how good everything was because I typically didn't like Lean Cuisine or other frozen meals. As a former non veggie eater, I've told myself that I will try it all regardless of how I think it will taste but there are a few that won't be coming back in my bag if I can help it.
1- Turkey Panini - awful bread
2- Triple Grain Crisps Cereal - not a sweet eater but still added splenda and fruit to tolerate it.
3 - Tortellini soup didn't taste too bad but uggghhhh , the smell was terrible while it cooked.

My favorites are the Sunshine Sandwich (I just eat it without the Ranchero sauce), Macaroni and cheese (love it! green beans are one of my fav. veggies), Pumpkin Spice cake, Cinnamon twists, and the Oatmeal Breakfast Squares.
I did not like the Salsbury steak. Not enough yucks in the world for that one. I think it is weird, because I just recently substituted a Lean Cuisine Salsbury Steak and it was at least 10x better. Loved the mashed potatoes.
When I eat the French Toast, I take the syrup and put it into a small ramekin with a lot of cinnamon and dip the pieces in the syrup. Almost makes me think of a Cinnabon. Close enough, anyway.
I eat the "catfood kits" once a week. They are just so convenient to pack and go, and with my job, I am not always near a microwave. When I do eat it in the office, though, it is a running joke. We all agree that it smells like catfood. I prefer the Chicken or Turkey ones to the Tuna. The crackers could be a little tastier. I eat the kits with baby carrots for my veggies. Not bad.
Yuck also to the Chicken Pasta Parmesan. I tried volumizing the Beef Chow Mein last weekend and it was great. I cut some carrots into matchsticks and microwaved them until they were almost tender, sauteed half an onion in some Pam, added the carrots, some garlic, chili flakes, and the Chow Mein entree. It was great and really filling.
I did not like the Bruschetta Veggie things. I hate the taste of "ITALIAN" seasoning. I highly doubt Italy would be pleased to be associated with this snack.
