I had this for the first time this week and I also liked it. I will order it again.

I also loved it! (didn't expect to b/c the gumbo is a little too spicy for me but I eat it anyway). Aside from the sausage, it tastes just like the stuffing my mom used to make for stuffed peppers. I got two - I add sauteed onions, green pepper, garlic, and mushrooms to just about everything including this!!

Is this a temporary food? I just re-started the program after being away for about a year and a half. I don't remember seeing this one in the Menu Planner.

I will try it today! I love the gumbo! I usually eat it with a small baked potato or sweet potato.
YUMMY!

You just gave me a good idea. This is on my menu for tonight. I'm going to steam up a big green or red pepper and stuff it with this meal and bake it. I have done that with my SW chicken, beans and rice before and that was good. I bet it will be fabulous with this! Thanks!!

I absolutely hated this meal! The tomato flavor was way too strong, and the texture was disgusting. The rice was gummy, and the chicken had a chalky texture. I had to throw this away... Should have stuck to my rule of frozen foods only.

This meal is very filling. I would get this one again. The taste is spicy but good.

This was GROSS! I couldn't eat it. I had to throw it out and eat something else.

I agree it was not the best tasting meal in the world. I ate it, but I don't think I will order it again.

I like it. I cannot say that I LOVE it as it does have a gummy texture however I love sausage and I love spicy. I add some FRANKS hot sauce to kick it up even more.

Yes, this is a temporary item. I think it is one of the better shelf stable items. I am going to try the stuffed pepper idea - sounds yummy.

Tried Kim in Ontario's idea of putting it all into a steamed bell pepper. Used a red one if it matters. Topped with a lowfat cheese and baked long enough to heat it through. I really enjoyed this! It makes it a huge meal. I served it with asparagus and it was seriously too full to finish. THAT HAS NEVER HAPPENED TO ME BEFORE! biggrin.gif If you like this entree, it's worth a try!

I just had this tonight for the first time. I also make it a rule to never get shelf items. I actually thought that this was a frozen dish and put it in the freezer!!! I cooked it for more than two times the amount it should be cookef and it was delicious.
Puddytat2005
I stuffed a couple of small peppers with it and it was phenominal!
No more BonBons
I also prefer the frozen foods, I did actually like this one, I added some Franks Hot Sauce & onion powder. Another I ate it inside a roasted red pepper. Will get this one about once a month or so.
