I had the Homestyle Chicken with Noodles for the first time for lunch today. It's a shelf stable item. It's actually a soup; the sauce is a broth. I also had trouble peeling back the cover because of the very sticky adhesive. I had to use scissors to get back a flap, and then the broth tended to spill over the sides. JC should, I think. package and market this product as soup. The taste was fine, but the appearance wasn't what I was expecting.
All the best,

I had this lunch a week or so ago. I thought it was really good! I agree that if it were packaged like the Mexican Chicken Tortilla Soup or like the chili con carne, it might be easier to open. I added a little morton light salt to it and a little pepper and it was really really good.

I tried this for the first time last week and really liked it. I agree that it is more like a soup which this time of year I love. I added this to a broth base soup I made last week with bok choy, mushrooms and carrots ~ yummy!

I always enjoy the Chicken with Noodles (or chicken noodle soup, really). Since this is a meal that has the addition of 1/2 starch and 1 meat serving, I usually make a really big serving of soup by adding 1/4 cup of noodles, 1 oz of chicken breast, some chopped vegetables (onion, carrot, celery, zucchini, spinach, mushrooms, etc) and low sodium broth to the soup.

Ooooohh I love this one!
Saute up some mushroom, shredded carrot, onion, and broccoli, then add the chicken and noodles and simmer. Yummy!
