Well it finally happened, after 26 weeks I finally had my first gain. I was out of town this weekend and when we ate out I tried to be healthy and eat salad with dressing on the side. But I still gained 3.2 last night.
I think the thing that upsets me most is that the gain is almost all of the weight I lost in August. The one thing that was keeping my spirits up with my low results was at least I hadn't gained.
Plus I have to go out of town again this weekend.
My wife tried to comfort me saying I'll loose it all this week, but I'm just mad right now and I needed to vent.

Hi...you'd of have to have eaten a lot to gain three pounds in a weekend. I'm guessing its mostly water weight from the extra restaurant sodium, so increase your water and I bet you didn't do as badly as you think. Don't beat yourself up--congratulate yourself on making better choices than you normally might have done if not on JC. It's the small changes over time that DO make a difference. Just drink that water now to flush your system.

I feel for you! I gained 2 lbs this weekend, but i also drank a lot, so hopefully some of it will melt off after a good drowning in my water bottle!
Weight loss is a journey - ups and downs are normal. Try to find something good that you did last week - for me, it's the fantastic walk I had on Saturday which felt soooo good that I can't wait until next weekend to do it again. Plus, I had a good time with friends, and I wouldn't give up those memories for anything - but next time I will know better than to eat the cake junk food they put in front of me.

Don't know if you flew for your out of town but that adds pounds too. Take a long walk today, drink more water, try to put together a plan for your upcoming weekend. When I am out of town, I try to have 2 really good meals and only 1 per day where I might eat a few too many calories. For me breakfast is easy, then I have to pick lunch or dinner. I also try to walk around at the airport when I am waiting for a flight. I am always looking for those walking opportunities. I take the train to work and I know people probably think I am crazy but I pace up and down the platform while waiting for the train. Try not to get too down, stick to it and the 2.2 will come off in no time.

It must have just been a timing thing with my WI being so close to labor day weekend.
I was out of town again this past weekend and again took my jenny food, but at my WI on 9/11 I was down 4.6.
Based on my current goal weight of 250 I'm now .1 from my half way weight.
What a difference a week makes!

Don't despair! I was on vacation for over two weeks and while I didn't over-indulge, I did enjoy the traditional vacation foods I usually have when I'm on my annual vacation. I did not beat myself up for it, either. So, when I finally weighed after 3 weeks, I had gained 12 pounds. However, I knew at least 5+ was water weight from all the salt/preserved foods I'd had in the last few days (another 3+ regular female water retention). I was right and after getting back to regular Jenny food and my routine, I lost 14 pounds this week. [Of course, I am very big, so large losses 14 pounds translates into like 4 pounds for a smaller person.] I know the majority of that 14 pounds was water weight from eating out EVERY DAY, ALMOST EVERY MEAL. Even if I didn't stuff myself.
So, don't obsess over it. Really. My JC counselor says you have to live your real life, and even for her at her goal weight, she finds herself eating the wrong things at times, resulting in gaining a few pounds. So, she goes on JC food for a few weeks and loses the weight. Even though I'm no where near my goal weight, I figure that is good advice for sticking to JC. There will always be occasions you will want to eat out for, vacations, holidays, special events. Just get back on the program after and hang in there. I am.
