disneydiva
Hi Kim - So happy to "see" you! Congrats on the 3+ pounds - that's wonderful! It sounds like the foot is doing well if you are back to exercising.
I had a tough weekend - I did the best I could, given some difficult circumstances, but I felt a little frustrated trying to make it all work. When I look it over, its not really bad choices (no McD's or anything) just not what I had planned to do.
However, I did eat my JC dinner etc - so right back on track.
Losing it in SD
Well, I'm hoping that in the next 2 1/2 weeks I can lose as much weight as possible to counteract the fact that my sister is coming to visit from Oct 25-30.
She doesn't have a lot of extra money, so to keep her from stressing out about eating out (and money she doesn't have), I've told her that I figured out that I can't lose weight when I eat out. So we'll be eating in much more than her previous trips to visit.
Hopefully I'll be able to be "good" while she's in town visiting.
I'm down 2 pounds for the month of October so far and would like to greet November 1st with 10 pounds less on me than on October 1st.
Sarah's mommy
This was my first week weigh in..... I lost 7lbs even this week.... I am so happy with this.... I have lost ove a 100 on my own and then it all stopped seemed like no matter what I did I could not lose much... Only 5 in the last 2 months... so I think my body needed a jump start again and this seems like it did it..... I am sooooo Happy with my sucess this week.... I have the confidence to go forward with many more lbs to lose.....and the hope that I will be able to lose this last 100lbs... WAHOO!!!

disneydiva
Losin'It & Sarah'sMom, you both had awesome weeks! Keep it up ladies, any loss is the right direction.
I get wi tomorrow and the scale is looking a little grim - I peeked this morning - and while I don't deserve it, I fully expected it. I had an awesome loss last week and it is my TOM and that's never good for me weight wise. Oh well! Here's hoping for a stable week - I would be very happy with that since that means the following week should be awesome! (Its the gains I hate.)
Anyway, wondering where NesTMom has been and how's she's doing. We miss you!
Good week to all and I'll check in after WI with the "dreaded" news.
nessatonymom
Hello All,
Congrats on all the pounds down the drain! We all have our weekends...Mine was crazy, but good choices so usually that is ok. TOM should be it's own category in weight loss lingo! But for me the week following is usually awesome!
My WI is Thursday and then this week is my daughters schools bazaar which I run a booth at. It is difficult to eat right but I have my Tuna kits and fruit salads all planned out so here's hoping! Next week I start Curves and I am excited about that! I am hoping to reach the next 0 by end of month. I have set 10 pund goals each month and they seem to work sooooo....Hang tough ladies!
Dark Angel
Hello everybody. Congrats to those of you who had great weeks. My parents were in town the last 10 days and I was so off program that I fully expected a huge gain. I actually gained just a tad, but since I don't count the decimals (just the whole pounds) I'm considering this week a maintain. It was disappointing, but it's history, and it's not going to make me give up this time. 6 weeks in, this is about the point where I've found a reason to give up in the past. This time, I'm in it for the long haul.
Hopefully next week I'll be able to report a good loss.
Rose_bud
wow there is lots of us now. welcome and great losses. way to go!!!
disneydiva
Hey, not so bad I am up but only .3 lbs, which I can surely accept. Of course, it is exactly what I gained last time too - too funny! So to me that's a stable week.
Hopefully next week will be good. I am a little under the weather, so I hope I can keep myself motivated to move - that could be the downfall. I promised myself if I take a walk when I get home then I can get a hot shower and go right to bed. If that does not motivate me nothing will!
Good to hear from you NesTMom and happy to hear all is well. School bazaar would be tough but the Tuna kits do work great for that no micro sitution. Good Luck.
Dark Angel, glad to see you back too. It is hard to stay true to a program when friends/family visit but it is behind you now.
I sometimes think about how long a road this will be and it is scary - that's probably what makes getting past week 6 so hard for you DA. I had a WW leader, many years ago, who told me "don't look at the road - look at the next block." In this case the coming week. Basically she said if you can do a week and get through it and see the scale reward you, that will motivate you for the next week. Eventually you string a few good weeks together and that helps to motivate you when the scale isn't so nice. Anyway, I've always found focusing on just the one week helped me! So give that a try.
Hi Rose - nice to see you. You're doing great too.
Wishing you all a great week!
IMSUNFLOWERTWO
Hello Friends!!!!Sorry I haven't posted in a week. Gets so busy here at work sometimes, and I don't have a computer at home Are any of you FALL fanatics? I am !!! This is my absolute favorite time of the year. Anyway, I've had two great weeks since getting back on program. My mind is in gear and my prayers are being answered.Faith without works is dead,so I'm working (lol).
I feel like I'm amongst TOTAL WINNERS when I read your stats. Gee, I feel proud to be a part of this 200+ Group. It's true, we can't look at the long road, just at the next block as someone stated. One meal, one day, at a time. We will get there, I know we will.
Love to all, and have a beautiful JC Day
IMSUNFLOWERTWO
New stats listed below . Has anyone ever done the real BMI where you go under water to get your real percentage? It's a fact that what we enter here on JC BMI Calculator is not the full requirements to get even a close real picture of your true BMI. I learned this from a guy on JC who has lost over 200lbs. so far. Just wondering?? I want to pay to have that done. I heard it's around $ 50.00 bucks or so.
nessatonymom
Hi Ho all,
Well I survived my day of reckoning Down 2.6 YIPPEE. I have a plan, and a cooler for my crazy weekend at our Bazaar so next week will be awesome too! We are headed to Disney the 21st of December for Holidays and I really want to be another 20 pounds down. My motivation has perked again. Hope it is contagious to any challenged souls out there!
Fall is definitely a great time for moving!
I am checking into the BMI thing at our gym. My son has a personal trainer so maybe he can give me some insight! Will let you all know. Have a great weekend...I will try to post SUnday night after the BAZAAR closes!!
disneydiva
NesTMom - I am so JEALOUS! I love Disney at Christmas - I love Disney anytime - hence the name! Have you been there at Christmas before? Mickey's Christmas party, the Osbourne lights, the Candlelight Procession; Its so great!
I may get to Disneyland in early Dec if I can make it fit - I'm pretty sure I will!
I would like to lose another 15-20 lbs by then too - for the cross-country flight.
To make this JC related - Disney is a great place to exercise, all the resorts have pools, exercise rooms and there's plenty of walking!
Enough! - NesTMom, you put me in the Disney mode - now I won't be able to think of anything else!
Anyway, Good Luck this week. Maybe we'll meet in Disney for our halfway!!
Hi to everyone else - sorry for the Disney moment - it happens to me occasionally.
Kimber47
Hi losers
I just had my W/I today and dropped .6 this week, not to bad for not exercising. However I plan to get some in this week, afterall my birthday is this week, and am planning on going out to lunch thursday or dinner, I will follow my JC guidelines, and should do okay
I hav e lost 35 lbs. so far, since June They will take my measurements next week, I hope not to loose to much more boobies!!!
I hope to loose a little from the hips and abdomen this time, a little from the waist would be nice too!! I am on the rewards program and at 20 weeks, I will be getting 30% off my food, that will be great, love that discount, makes the food more affordable!!
Love and Best of Luck to all, Keep up the great work everybody!!
God Bless you all!!!!!!

Kimberly
Losing it in SD
Hi there everyone!
Week Four is behind me now. That's another three pounds that I'll never have to deal with again.
Thirteen pounds in four weeks isn't as much as I had anticipated when I signed up for Jenny. But after a bit of thought, I'm *SO PSYCHED* about it
This week I'm very excited to be eating foods that I got to choose myself and not just the ones on the week 1-2 menus. I DON'T EVER HAVE TO EAT THE TUNA SALAD AGAIN! I get to have rotini and meatballs twice a week Yummy!
Oh! Yesterday I went to a 40th b-day party for a friend. So much food was available for the taking! I planned accordingly. I happened to wake up late yesterday, so I was able to "skip" dinner and eat at the party. Before I left, I figured out how many fat/starch/meat/milk my missed dinner was, added the extra exchanges of my 2300 cal menu and headed for the party determined to stay on track.
I was perfect in my food choices. I had some boiled shrimp, tons of raw veggies, about 1-2 oz of garlic-herb cheese and three (small) bites of an amaretto-spumoni cheesecake. I had no brownie bites, no ranch/onion dip, no alcohol, nothing that I would have gone for in the past.
I was pretty proud of myself I did so well, that I was still able to finish off the night at home, at 3am with Toffee bites and a glass of milk. Mmmmm.
Hope everyone else is doing spectacularly!
disneydiva
Hi Losers!
Losin'It you did AWESOME! Its so hard to go to parties and stay on track. You deserve a reward for yourself - nonfood! Congrats on the 3 lbs too!
Hey Kim, hope all is well down .6 is the right way and you had a great week last week, sometimes our bodies aren't willing to release the weight as fast as we deserve. Good luck with measure day - mine's on Weds - I think my boobs are finaly down and inch (Yeah! )
Hope NesTMom did well at the bazaar.
I finally am caught up on work and will get more time to myself for the next 2 months! My goal is to get more exercise in. I am just getting over a cold that combined with extra work put a cramp in my exercise this week. I tried but the inability to breathe was limiting - but I did do some.
Hi sunflower and whoever else I missed in my Disney trance the other night. I was curious about the BMI thing since I never knew there was another way to take it. DUH!
Well I should get to bed but wanted to check in and wish everyone well.
Good Luck this week!
Sarah's mommy
Today was my weigh in....... Drum roll please............... I lost 3.4lbs this week for a total of 10.4 in two weeks since I started JC..... WAHOO!!!! I am sooooo excited.....

IMSUNFLOWERTWO
Ladies!!!!!!!!!You Rock!!!!!!!!!!!
The stats are very exciting and encouraging.
Losing It- just think, if you were in control at that party, it'll only get easier for you at all the holiday parties that will be coming up. I CAN'T BELIEVE IT, my Dec. calendar is already filling up. My main incentive to stay on track will be that one of the events isn't until Dec.17, and I want to wear a PARTICULAR DRESS in my closet and not have to spend money on something new. As long as I do my part, it's a done deal. I think I want to go to DISNEY at Christmastime. I've heard it's a dreamland (as though it weren't already!!!). Here's to a great week friends. I'll post stats after Wednesdays weigh-in. HAPPY FALL 'YALL
nessatonymom
Well, Glad to hear everyone had good week! I did as well as I could while slaving at the bazaar. They did make over $50,000 for the school. Amazing! They sell Acadien food and people come from all over for Poutines, rapee and Meat Pie! Oh well.
Off to the gym tomorrow to get re-acquainted with deep water aerobics. Hmmmm, hopefully not full of cranky ladies. Last time I did it the youngest besides myself(42) was 83.
Hope everyone has a great week. I WI on Thursday so I will be exercising heavily the next two days!
Hugs to all
IMSUNFLOWERTWO
Wow!!!! That is so cool, $50,000 for the school.Have fun with the water aerobics and tune out the looney tunes(lol). Seniors can be so precious, but I agree, sometimes CRANKY!!! Teaches us how not to be when we get older
disneydiva
Hi Gang -
WTG Sarah's Mom. What a great week! We all know how thrilled you are; its motivation enough to keep going when you have those losses.
NesTMom - you did great too, just getting through a bazaar with those kinds of foods is a trial. So, I'm guessing N'awlins, but could be Quebec - GREAT cities both - and such yummy foods - I don't envy you that struggle. And $50K for the kids - that's truly AWESOME!
Sunflower you should go the "the Kingdom" at Christmas - it is a wonderland!
"See" you after WI!
nessatonymom
DD- Believe it or not I live in Massachusetts! the parish school my daughter attends is french-Canadien though. Good guess!
We love animal kingdom, stayed there last time. We are at Polynesian for Christmas though!
Dark Angel
Hello everyone. Well, another week gone. Congratulations to everyone on your achievements this week. I know how hard it is to stay on program when your social life puts you in situations where there is food all around. Be proud of yourselves for having the will power to do well. I was THRILLED to see a 6 pound loss this week. But, part of it was from being sick for two days. My consultant cautioned me to be extra careful this week so as not to gain part of it back. We've also tried dropping my calorie level once again. Hopefully that won't backfire like it did before. Another 3 pound gain would be depressing. So, I'm down 13. Should've been more by now, but I'm proud of myself anyway. That 3 pound gain was a setback, if not for that I'd be down at least 16 so I'm pretty much at my 2 pounds per week goal when I look at it that way. Now I just need to find some kind of exercise I can do.
nessatonymom
Okay, I am trying to stay positive. A loss is a loss. -0.4 this week. Not bad considering much of my time was spent at a church bazaar. I had hoped for a pound or 2...I will work harder this week to make up for it. Really want to be 360 something by November!
Losing it in SD
Week five is behind me and has taken another pound off of my arse.
I'd be lying if I said that I wasn't disappointed. I've got a ton of weight to lose and frankly, it should be melting off of me.
*regroup*
My goal this week is to try and eat ALL of my food. All of it. Every morsel.
I discovered that during my day, I wind up hungry several times. What I found that I was doing is that I have been hoarding my food during the day so that I wouldn't run out before the end of the day.
But what has been happening is that I'll finish the day having had none of my Food additions, and some days, I've even not finished what's on the 1700 cal menus (I'm on 2300 a day).
Eating all of my 2300 calories is going to be difficult. I sense that I've put my body into starvation mode so more calories is indeed the answer.
How do I talk myself into eating *MORE*? My brain is going to fight me on this one.
My Jenny Direct phone appointment is in a bit over three hours. I think I'm going to ask about ordering additional Jenny food to eat rather than trying to figure out exchanges.
My sister flies into town on Wednesday morning for a five-day visit. I'm hoping to only eat out for no more than three times while she's in town. On a normal visit, we'd eat out 2-3xs a day plus a Starbucks run. She said that she's broke this time around so she won't be wanting to eat out.
With her visit, I should be getting a bunch of walking in. We're going to go to a huge craft fair, a bunch of wineries, the Wild Animal Park and on Saturday night, we're going dancing.
I have much hope for a fantasic week ahead of me.
I hope everyone is doing well out there and has avoided being tempted by Halloween candy!
nessatonymom
Losing in SD,
I hear you loud and clear. I am on 2300 also. I too fond it hard to consume the extra foods, but have learned that when I do not eat,I do not lose! Some ideas I use are:
Cheese on my veggies, croutons on salad equals 1 sandwich! I get up early so I eat my bfast, then around 8:30 I will make whole grain toast with pb = 1 sandwich. Another idea is 1/2 a yogurt with some lowfat granola. My center director told me Sour Dough Bites with cheese stick works also! Do not be afraid to try. I know it's hard but in the end you are worth it! Hang tough!!!
disneydiva
Hi Ladies - I've been MIA with work and running around for this past week. I've checked out the Boards but have not had the time to write.
I've missed you guys!
Losin'it you are doing so great and the truth is some weeks the weight will be slower. It may be because you aren't eating your calories - NesTMom gave you some great ideas and she's right - but my body seems to have 1 week every month (guess which one) that I just don't lose!
I can drink all the water I want, avoid the sodium and exercise til I fall over and still . . . As a long term veteran of WW, I know its my pattern, JC has been better but still my body just doesn't release that week. I can also have a problem if I have too many big losses in a row.
So try boosting your intake, becase I agree that is sooo important but take some comfort that it may just be an off-week and they come along every once in a while.
Hey NesTMom, good job with the scale and bazaar, I'm heading to Springfield at Thanksgiving - glad your bazaar wasn't that weekend - poutines would be hard to pass up.
nessatonymom
Hey DD,
Glad your back. Had me worried! Springfield ,MA????? Brrr, we may get snow this weekend! We head North to Maine on Thanksgiving. Moosehead lake, to my parents. my son gets to go hunting with gramps and my daughter bakes with Grammy. Me and hubby go Christmas shopping at the stores for unique items! It is fun.
My tom is a problem for me too. I always know the next week will be a good loss week though!
Hang tough everyone, I am working on a Veggie Turkey!!!!
disneydiva
Hey Gang - I just have to share - allright brag . I did it! I hit twonderland this week. I really wanted to but I did not want to set it as a formal goal and miss by a little and I had just far enough that I was worried. BUT I did it! 299.2! Yay! (Whoever thought we would cheer that weight? )
But I know you guys will appreciate how happy I am to break that number - forever!
Anyway - just wanted to share and thanks NesTMom for worrying - I'm doing good except work has been hectic.
As for Springfield being cold - what are you thinking going to a lake in Maine? Talk about Brrrr. I will get over my Thanksgiving chill by visiting Long Beach CA the following weekend and paying homage to "the Mouse." (I think NesTMom can take the blame for that actually. ) Anyway heading west to check up on Kim and Losin'it!
I did tell you guys I travel alot - I did not lie! Good weeks to all - back Fri.

DD
I am so proud of you I can't wait for the under 350 feeling! I cannot imagine twoderland! Ahhh, the "mouse" grows closer. When we get back from disney, my hubby and I are headed out again. Most romantic is he! We leave the 21st of January and are taking the amtrak across the country, headed to vegas for 6 days at the Paris Hotel. It is business trip for him but he wants me to go. We decided we have not had much alone time with kids schedules so he booked the train, complete with bedrooms! We will arrive in Flagstaff,AZ and then drive the canyon, etc! My Mom is coming down to stay with kiddos! I am so excited and motivated even more to get into somethng somewhat sexy!!!!!!!geez, can you tell I am excited?
Anyways, today is weigh in after my start up at the gym this week. It is also my pre TOM week so I am hoping to lose a bitty bit. I usually gain 1 on this week! I will check back later.
Hope everyone has a good day!!!!!!!!
nessatonymom
Well +.6 but considering the new activity level and TOM not bad.
Sarah's mommy
I only lost 1lb this week... 1 pound loss is better than a gain... So I am happy still... I need to start walking again.. I have not exercised the past couple of weeks.. too busy.. now too busy or not I got to make time to exercise cause I will have a better weight loss...

nessatonymom
a pound is a pound! i am happy to report that I survived a week at the gym. I also tried deep water aerobics with my daughter and we loved it! What a workout! My muscles are sore but that will pass! I feel more motivated than ever so go for it!
disneydiva
Hey NesTMom & Sarah'sMommy - Not bad ladies! A pound loss is a pound loss and as for that minor blip NesTMom a gain of .6 during TOM is very good.
Hope your weekends are going well - I did some chores today - mostly a "full groom" on both my dogs. We're off to a dog show in the am - wind and all!
Take care - good week to all!
nessatonymom
Hey DD Good luck at the SHOW!
Losing it in SD
Week six showed a loss of NOTHING
I suppose that I can't be too upset because my sister was in town and I ate out at more restaurants last week than I had in the previous five weeks!
I did manage to fall into a bowl of Doritos at a Halloween party, but since that was Saturday night, I don't think it affected my Sunday morning weigh-in. Hopefully extra salads this week will keep the Dorito event from hitting the scale.
Glad to see that everyone else is in losing mode. Keep up the great work!
nessatonymom
Losing it...from past experience, you already saw the Dorito's in the form of SODIUM. So the good news is your home free from them this week!
Hang in there! Happy Halloween!
disneydiva
Losin'It you've had some great losses and while disappointing that this was a level week try not to let it ruin the current week. Level weeks and plus weeks come along on a journey this long - our job is to push through the disappointment and stay motivated!!!
As for the Dorito's, I'm with NesTMom, you saw that sodium gain Sun, for sure. You may well have had a sodium gain from eating out more than usual, too. Even if you make the best choices, its hard to get around the sodium. If you want to play it safe for this week, be sure to get those 64oz of water in; it will flush out your system.
Good luck this week.
nessatonymom
Well, to the gym I have been...but naughty naughty I did not eat all my food. Down by decimals again! But down is down so I guess i can say "Imagine if I had eaten all my food!" Deep water aerobics tonight! I will focus on the crunches!!! Have a good one ladies!
DD- How did the pooches make out oat the dog show?
Quiverful
Hi! I'm new around here! I was feeling so isolated with how much I have to lose, but this forum has shown me that there are others out there like me ansd they're doing it!!!!
My start weight was 384.4. I have lost 8.2lbs. my first week! I have a recumbent bike on order and I hope it gets here soon!
Looking forward to getting to know you all and taking this wonderful and scary journey together!!!
Dawn
nessatonymom
Welcome Quiver!
Good for you! Now keep up the good work!
disneydiva
Hi Quiver & Welcome! We're a small group but very supportive so I think you will enjoy it.
The dog did fine - didn't win but he showed great and since he has not been shown since early June I was very happy. It was a warm up day, his day is coming soon - 2007! Thanks for asking NesTMom.
So here's a little issue to give you all a chuckle - I am travelling this weekend and into next week. I dutifully packed my portable electis cooler, carfully selected a lot of shelf stable JC stuff and located the nearest supermkt with a salad bar. So far so good. Anyway, I am staying at a gorgeous DC hotel, quite fancy - company selected and paid even better - and NO microwave!
I don't mean its downstairs or in the lobby - I mean NONE! Incredibly frustrated, I asked the Concierge, the desk and even the kitchen since I don't believe there isn't a microwave on premises. If there is, I can't get to it!
So what to do? I filled the sink with hot water and soaked the dish in that. It did not warm it up a lot but sufficient to eat - I would only suggest it for the shelf food.
Just thought you all would find it funny!
Good luck all.
nessatonymom
Yukky DD!!! That is so not funny! Good girl valantly sticking to your plan, but we would understand if you can't!
Quiverful
DD-Now, that's what I call committment! I cannot believe there is not a microwave to be had!?
Well, I did pretty crappy this past week. I ate too much Halloween candy and other stuff. I was pleasantly surprised when I got on the scale this morning. I only gained point 6 pound...less than one pound. Not too bad! My exercise bike is supposed to be delivered tomorrow. I am back on the wagon this week!
