I have read through alot of the different forums on here. And i cant decide what to do!!
It sounds like Jenny Craig is lot of money! I am a mom of 7, 4 still at home and all under 11, a son that wants to be a rock star, and a son with drug problems and a son who has been in Afghanistan since Dec04' serving this country.
can i really afford it? and does it really work, as alot of people say when they are done, they have to come back because they gain most back, oh some one please tell me.

Jenny is a little pricey at first, but it is so worth it. It isn't a diet, it is a life style change. You learn how to eat right. The only way that you could really gain weight back is if you just decide to ignore all that you have learned and give up again. I have been with Jenny for a little over a year now and I have lost 30 pounds. I am smaller then I have been in about 8 years and extremely happy. It changed how I eat and I am now confident going out on my own and doing the right things as far as food goes. I do slip sometimes, don't get me wrong, but I don't beat myself up over it. That is how I would gain weight in the first place. I would eat some crappy food, feel guilty about eating it, and eat more because I felt crappy. It is a horrible circle and JC teaches you how to deal with that. I over looked the cost. My happiness and well being was so worth it. Hope this helped a little.

I am learning how to break that cycle myself. I tend to beat myself up after I eat bad things.
Carianne is right, JC can get pricey at first. Sometimes to make it a little less costly I go to the supermarket and read labels for Lean Cuisine or weight watchers. I compare the calories, and try to catch them on sale. I know that is cheating, but you gotta do what you gotta do. I don't not buy JC food, but I try to defray the cost a little. I hope everything goes welll, and good luck with the program, and whatever you decide to do. Jenny

Finances are a huge issue with me currently so I joined the 20lbs for $20 plan for now. I also had a money limit and bought JC meals that I figured would be the hardest for me to make myself (ie.dinners & lunchs). So I bought a few dinners and lunches. I did not buy a full weeks/months worth cuz I just don't have the money to do it but I want to start getting healthy now. This is my second week and I already got off the program due to outside elements so I feel like I'm not the best person for advice.... but I do understand the situation you're in. I am using the money I would normally use for groceries and breaking that up into some dinners and lunches from JC and the rest JC fit grocery items. This is more work of course and may be harder to stick to but worth the try I feel. Then of course I need to keep some of that money for food for my 3 yr old who needs the fat or at least some fat for growth. He can eat a lot of the same things as me so its not too bad there.
It does come down to doing something for your own health (as someone else posted as well). It is a fine line to walk when debt/expenses are higher than income (medical debt in my case)...but I'm trying and I keep telling myself the money I save from cutting coca-cola from my diet will help Good luck to you!!

I think the main thing about losing weight is having the support. Just buying what you can afford and keeping a positive outlook will help you in the long run. Until you get better at serving sizes you may not lose as fast as others, but any loss is a loss. JC has a lot of good advice, just reading and understanding can also help. The counselor is what helps me, but everyone is different. Good luck, and I hope your decision comes easier. Jenny
