HI all....back on JC for the third time...only have been off of it for 3 months this time. But in that time we had a family crisis, (family member in the hospital) and I gained 10 lbs back...aghhhh...cant believe that I let myself turn to my favorite "comfort foods". My husband is in the AF and his current job has him coming and going. We are stationed in CA anyone else on the west coast?

i was stationed at beale afb. that's about 45 miles north of sacramento. my husband is in korea now, so i'm at home with mom and dad until he comes back. when he comes back it's off to nellis, las vegas.

Nellis is supposed to be nice...hot but nice. We are from Sacramento...so it is nice to be near home for the first time in a long tine but it is also an adjustment to be this close to family after 13 years of being our own little family!
It definatly adds some challenges to my weight loss goals...you know, family things just seem to pop up unexpectedly and always seem to be involving food. I have to deal with that and figure out what I am going to do!

Is he on a remote? how much longer? My DH just went on a TDY to Korea for two weeks and just came back a few days ago.

Andreia - Nellis is awesome. My DH and I were at Vegas last year (his parents live there and his dad passed away, so he took his 2-week leave from Iraq), and we took a ride out to Nellis to get his power of attorney, etc). You'll love it!
I weighed in on Thursday - gained .6 pounds. It's all emotional eating, I know. My DH's unit got their orders to come home the weekend of 15th!!!! I'm a wreck, trying to get ready, etc., so naturally turn to food! Here's hoping a better week!

OMG, Tonda, your hubby will be home very soon! How exciting! I think it's great that you only gained .6 this past week! You have a lot on your mind and that excitement and adrenaline will help you get by the next two weeks.

Thanks for the warm welcome! I have had a rough first week back...I know I will fall into the routine of it but it gets more difficult each time I come back to Jenny...I have only been off of it for 3 months this time. I weigh in tomorrow and I know that it will give me a boost to see the numbers change.
Archie...Don't sweat the .6 it happens to the best of us and you know the cause so you know you have the power to overcome it too! It is always hard when the guys are gone though isn't it?! It is also the best time to get on track and surprise them when they get home!

Hey guys, I weighed in on Monday, but I forgot to mention that I lost 1.6lbs! Hurray! When I was on JC before, I always lost 2-3lbs a week, and whenever I only lost 1-1.9lbs, I was disappointed. NOW, I am happy to lose ANYTHING!! Weight loss this time has been slow, but very much worth it.
Archie, 8 more days and counting. Girl, I know you must be so damn excited! Is everyone's spouse/significant other on deployment? My husband is stationed here, but his job has him traveling abroad quite a bit. I know how stressed and uptight I feel when he is on travel, and so I can only imagine what is like to have your hubby gone for so long.
Hang in there, friends. We'll help each other through this.

Talked to Ron a little earlier today. They are supposed to get a flight out of Kuwait between the 13th and the 16th, but like he said, we won't believe it until he is on the plane!

hey guys. sorry i haven't written in a while. i weighed in tuesday and lost 3.8. bringing it to a total of 17.3
yes. my husband is on remote. he left june 8 and will return sometime around june 10. i can't wait. i hope to lose 13 more before he comes home. we'll see.
happy news...i got accepted to le cordon bleu culinary institute of las vegas. i am so excited. i'm nervous about getting my uniform. i don't want to be the one with a tight uniform or even one that doesn't fit. it's like high school all over again. this time i don't want to be the fat one. i know i won't be at the right weight. i need to lose 100 pounds. if i can lose another 30 by august 21, then i won't be the obese girl, just the fat girl.

you ladies are all awsome! I weighed in on Wednesday, and lost 3 lbs...of course it was my first week back so I had a bigger loss than normal...I figure that any weeek that isn't a plus is a good week.
congratulations on the culinary institute, I would love that...It sounds awsome!
Archie, My dh felt the same way...wouldn't allow himself to beleive it or get excited until he was on the plane! It will be here before you know it.
