Most of you probably have military health coverage, like TRICARE, right? Well, my husband said that most of the military medical facilities have nutritionists who can consult with you about weight loss. I was just wondering if any of you have done this. I'm thinking that after I hit my goal weight, I might want to take advantage of this (since it is free) to help me through maintenance.

hey there,
yes it is true. since i recently found out i have pre-diabetes, i have had to go to a few classes. the pre-diabetes class was very helpful! i think that anyone overweight should take that class. they explained a lot. i have had to see a dietian and a nutritionist (sp?) a couple of times due to my weight. i found that depending on the person, they can be helpful or hurtful!
good luck with that though!

Thanks Gezika for sharing! My husband actually wanted me to check out the military dietician/nutritionist first before starting JC. (you know, the money issue.) I'm just really hard-headed and wanted my way, so I went the JC route.
I'll definitely check into those pre-diabetes classes and maybe get a consultation with a dietician or nutritionist. IF it turns out that they are more hurtful than helpful, then I'm out of there! I don't want to speak with anyone who will break my spirit, you know?
Again, thanks for your input.
