Hey I'm new...I just started jc today...and I'm veggie. Are you guys finding the selection is sufficient to keep you happy or are you getting bored yet? I guess my only complaint not having made it past one day yet is that all the dinners I can eat are italian.

yeah, i'm bored with it. i hardly ever eat italian. not that they aren't good, but yeah, kind of boring. you can make your own dinner if you follow the "rules", you know? (4 meats, 2 starches, 2 vegetables, 1 fruit & 1 fat)

You can also (eventually) supplement with an Amy's or WW frozen entree, as I do, when I desire Indian or something else. But, I've been on JC a long time and I'm finding I just crave a few things, now, over and over! I "doctor" up a pizza and eats tons of veggies. I've also eaten breakfast for dinner and made things on my own following the rules. (Tacos with veggie burger, Yakisoba with soy chicken) So far, so good and have lost 45.
Hope that helps!

Here is what I did: Today I was suposed to eat the Chicken Breast with Rice Medley 250 Cal. 60 fat, 520 sodium.I got an organic Amy's Creamed Spinach& Cheese with Rice and Beans. 240 Cal, 80 fat 680 sodium.
Im going to keep replacing the meals with Organic ones and follow the plan and see what happens. If anyone else wants to join me great. I spent $25 on 7 frozen meals.

Hey everyone,
Amy's just came out with 2 weeks of planned menus based on 1500 or 1800 calories using their entree's. Just go to their website and look under diet plan. I thought it would be nice to add some variety. I'm on the 1200 plan but figure I can adapt to bring it down to 1200 or sometimes I eat the 1500 when I exercise a lot, so might choose to try some of Amy's planned menus on those days.

Amy's entrees tend to be higher in fat, so be sure to count the fat grams. Five grams of fat is one fat exchange.
I have found some of the Cedar Lane low fat entrees to be quite good.
I have become quite adept at duplicating the JC entrees using meat substitutes. I make four servings at a time, divide them into single servings, and freeze for later.
See my fajitas recipe I posted in another thread here.
