I heard from my counselor that some new foods are going to be coming out in the next few weeks, and some of them (at least one for sure before the end of November) will be vegetarian! I don't have any details-- I don't know if they will be breakfast (have plenty already), lunches (please please oh please), or dinners (I'll take it, I'll take it). Has anyone heard anything about this? Maybe someone out there can pay off their counselor and get us the scoop!

I went in today and we had those 4 new cereals, some new chocolate chip bites, the ginger bread cookies and a new dinner-cashew chicken. They also said the peanut butter any time bars are now vegetarian but I haven't tasted them yet to see if they taste any different. Hope that helps! They didn't mention any other new foods

Hi,
Thanks for trying to find out about this you guys. The new foods that I am talking about won't be out until November and December. Two new foods are supposedly coming out in November, and one of them will be vegetarian. These meals are in addition to the new cereals that already came out. It's possible that the counselors really don't know the details on what is coming out.
That's interesting about the peanut butter anytime bars-- my husband and I were very disappointed to find out that they had gelatin in them, so we have been eating the praline ones instead. I'll have to ask our counselor (who is also a vegetarian, yay!) about it when I talk to her next week.
Thanks again for your investigating!

The vegetarian dinner must be the cheese ravioli. My consultant told me they had it already, I think.

nope-- it's not the cheese ravioli. It's supposed to be a completely new product that we will see in a month. I guess we'll just have to wait and see!

Yes, the cheese ravioli is vegetarian. I didn't particularly like the flavor of the sauce though-- it was a bit twangy. I wish they would have just put regular spaghetti sauce on it. But it's definitely vegetarian.

I was at my center last friday and saw a salmon dish, and a meatball sandwich as new menu items scheduled for Feb 07.

The cheesy ravioli is new (or it was out for 5 months and now it's back) and I got 5 of them today at my WI appt. It looked vegetarian to me and I will try it for dinner tonight. I don't really consider myself a vegetarian (though I was raised as one) but I always like veggie meals when I can find them.

I have been off the plan for quite a while. I am still upset about them getting rid of my favorite veggie burger and the pasta ole. I just loved it over salads and over broccoli and over string beans. I just saw Banana Nut cereal on the plan and that is something that I will have to give a try if I ever get back on the plan. It seems like they keep taking all away all of the foods that I love. Miss the carrot muffins. They were great! Don't get your hopes up. Every time us veggie people get all excited about hearing rumors of something new coming out, we are usually disappointed when it does.

Here is what I did: Today I was suposed to eat the Chicken Breast with Rice Medley 250 Cal. 60 fat, 520 sodium.I got an organic Amy's Creamed Spinach& Cheese with Rice and Beans. 240 Cal, 80 fat 680 sodium.
Im going to keep replacing the meals with Organic ones and follow the plan and see what happens. If anyone else wants to join me great. I spent $25 on 7 frozen meals.
