Full Version: Is JC good for Veggies?
Jenny Craig > Support Buddy Groups > Vegetarians

I'm sure this has been asked a hundred times but for some reason i can only see one Topic in the Vegetarians section despite it saying there are over 200.
So....
Is Jenny Craig good for Vegetarians? If you can name a weightloss program I've probably been on it. I hate having to try & figure out my own menu by substituting as I usually end up eating the same thing over & over & over. The classic meal became a Boca burger patty, a cucumber & a large tomato - which I like but I was having it every night!
I haven't been strict about anything lately and it's about time I did or i'll never take care of myself!
So, basically shoudl i give Jenny Craig a try?
Thanks in advance...

I've been in JC for a year. I can't say I have been successful but it is my fault. Being a vegetarian on JC is not easy and I learn the hard way that you need to be creative or else it's gonna get boring. I have some meals that I really like, penne pasta, lasagna, mac and cheese, cheesy enchilada and others. Some days I do a meal on my own following the tasty recipes on the JC 30 minute meals. They are great. The most important part is controlling the calories.

I agree sometimes you need to get creative. But, I have lost over 40 lbs. on Jenny Craig and I feel I'm eating a lot healthier because of it. I now crave my steamed veggies and fresh fruit. The entrees have become more than enough food and they are REALLY tasty. I don't have too much time to figure out what to make on my own all the time and I know that IF I follow Jenny, I WILL lose weight! But they have also taught me what portions and fat content, etc. should be so that I am getting better at it myself.

Thanks for your insight. I get bored cooking the same thing all the time so if I can switch back & forth to prepared & ready DIY meals i think that will help me too.
Thanks again.

There are many vege options, although not as many as they once had. I get buy pretty well with them, but do get a little bored on occassion. I sometimes resort to ordering one of the meat meals for variety and then I pick out the meat and replace it with a diced up boca burger or some tofu.
