Can you believe it...The Non veggie JC member's have three weeks of menu's to choose from and they are complaining that they are tired of the same old, same old meals to choose from.
Can you imagine if they were in our shoes and only had one week to choose from?
Wouldn't we like to change places with them and have three weeks of JC veggie menu's to choose from? I know that I would.
I would like to have more eat and run breakfasts like the Banana Nut Muffins and the Honey Oat Bars. (Don't really like the Strawberry bars myself) Not a Strawberry person and they are way too sweet. I would like to have the option of choosing Zucchini Nut Muffins, Cho Chip Cho muffins, Egg and Cheese Mc Muffins and maybe a cream cheese breakfast bars. Some low fat etc. donuts to bring for lunch for days when our job brings in donuts, we can just have one of our own JC donuts that day. Or a JC bagel for bagel days at work.
For lunches, I would like to see more microwave lunches. Like mini versions of the dinners. Lately I have been switching my lunches with my dinners, because the frozen microwave meals, make it fast and easy to prepare while on the job. Also it is easy to take off the outer cover before you leave for work, if you want to keep your personal life to yourself.
For snack, I wouldn't mind having a JC cho pudding or a JC candy bar that resembled a Nestles Crunch Bar. Or zucchini cake or banana nut cake, like the other JC cakes that we have.
For Dinners, anything the non JC people have, only without the meat or animal by products. Would love to have a veggie meat loaf made like the veggie burger, some of JC delicious broccoli florets and JC's delicious red potatoes.Or veggie meatballs and spaghetti.
Okay, I better stop it. My mouth is watering for food that we do not have options to on the JC program just yet. Although, rumor is, the JC options are great compared to what they used to be years ago. I would love some JC Baked Ziti. Or Baked round cheese ravioli's. I'm Italian, what can I say?
Be creative...what new veggie meals do you wish we had?

I'm down with that and I'm only a part-time veggie. (Go veggie three days a week)
I love the veggie entrees at the grocery. non-chicken chicken pot pie, non-meat corn dogs.
I'm passed half-way, so work in veggie on my phyrmid days.

ykwcg: I'm not a vegetarian, but I noticed that one of the things you "wish" you had available was an egg & cheese McMuffin. Could you buy the Sunshine Sandwich and then remove the Canadian Bacon before you prepare it? I always add a slice of FF cheddar cheese to mine & have often removed the "meat" from it since I don't really care for it. Just a thought.

Dear Dori:
That is exactly what I do. Love the Sunshine sandwiches, without the meat and with a slice of 90 calorie cheese!
On a very happy note...today I went to Hops Restaurant and Brewery, all I had was one of their delicious salads and a cup of coffee....but! I noticed something new on their menu that I want to try it the next time that I go there.
They have a new item called veggie raviolies. It is round ravioli's with grilled veggies and herbs inside. "AND" on top of that it is made with no meat marinara sauce.
I came home to see if they had their own website to see if I could find out the calorie/fat contents, but could not find one for them. Maybe the next time that I go to their restaurant I can find out some more information. But I cannot wait to try it.

I'd like to see more ethnic choices. Maybe an Indian dahl w/ spinach dish. Or how about a black bean & rice burrito? What do you think of a spinach & feta greek-style stuffed sandwich kinda like the chicken stuffed sandwich available for the meat-eaters? Or the same stuffed with roasted vegetables and pine-nuts? Moroccan style chickpea stew w/ couscous?
If the food were as fabulous as some of this stuff, we might even win over a bunch of meat-eaters too! What could be better?
Best Wishes,
Angela

Yum.
That sounds like the Amy's kitchen sandwich that has spinach and feta. Loved that.
Indian food, don't tease me. I get my fix on my phyrmid days.

i agree....more veggie choices, pleaase!! more ethnic....spanakopita(spelling), maybe?? more tofu(which i love).....and the breakfast sandwich would be nice too!!! not too hard for them...just make some without the ham!im not a vegan, so i like the cheese....
sigh...i think it will be a while until we see this ...and by then we'l be at goal! but nice for the next generation!!

I'm middle of road eater myself, but with all of these suggestions could totally be 100% vegetarian. The Zucchini bread idea sounds fabulous.
A couscous dish also sounds good or even pasta primavera (lots of asparagus and brocolli).
Most of the time I find myself eating mostly vegetarian dishes anyway, but eat chicken and fish quite a bit.
My weakness is any Pasta.
Good Luck on your crusade- if they even had half of your suggestions, that would be oh so good!!!
