Things sure have been quiet around here lately. What is everyone up too?

Good question. I have been wondering the very same thing. I guess we are all sick of the only one choice veggie menu, that we have all been too busy ranting about it.
With me....I finally hit my 50lb mark. Next month will be a year on JC and I was hoping to hit 100lbs by my first year Anniversary, but at this point it is not going to happen.
I do have Hypothyroidism and I have been averaging 6lbs per month loss. I do not know if that is a good average or not. Have been wanting to go to my Doctor to check it out, but have to wait several more weeks to get on a medical plan, since I just started a new job.
I have been on a plateau since my 50lb mark. Which is apx a few weeks. Whenever that happens I am usually losing mega inches.
But also, since I want something new to eat veggie wise, I have been starting to pick on non JC food and I have not had self control lately whenever I do go off of the plan. I have started not eating my veggies and not drinking my water.
Today, I have been contemplating on maybe starting a new and go with the non JC meals, forcing me to pick out and throw out my meats.
At this point in time, I am sort of feeling disgusted with myself and with the plan.
So that is how little old me is doing. How is everyone else doing?
On the JC veggie menu....you start to grow tired of the same old....same old....

I have hypothyroidism too. I don't take medicine but I have it. The medicine made me dizzy -- where one specialist FINALLY believed me at took me off. I'm lucky if I lose 4 lbs a month -- and happy with it! Now I'm wondering if the slow weight loss is b/c of the hypothyroid. Could be. That makes me feel even better!! Also eating 6X a day has definitely boosted my metabolism -- there are weeks I shouldn't have lost and I did. I'm hanging in there day by day . . . Good luck!

ykwcg,
I think 6# a month is pretty good! Any loss is a good loss. Congratulations on your new job, too!
I'm glad that there are several new veggie choices in the temporary foods. The Penne Pasta is really good! Same with the apple crisp and the new soup
So far it doesn't sound like there will be much to chose from in the March foods, unless they are using "meat" substitutes for the swedish meatballs. The breakfast sounded OK, but they really should try making it without the meat substitute.
At this point I just do 2-3 days of vegetarian every week, because I just can NOT eat the same things over and over again. I do the personalized plan so that I can pick and choose the things I like. Maybe if JC would add more veggie choices, I might try 100% veggie.
Well, I cant hang around here all day. My husband and youngest daughter are leaving for India on Tuesday, so this is going to be a busy weekend for us! I wish I were going too, but it didn't work out that way.
Best Wishes,
Angela

its funny. I'm total veggy freak and haven't eaten any meat in years. however when I started jenny I noticed there were SOME choices but not tons.. what I started doing was ordering some of the meatfull dishes and just taking out the meat.. like today for instance I ordered the been chowmain. never had it, can't tell you how much meat is in it but had to try something new.. ALSO the sunshine sandwhich is great just rip off that piece of whatever meat product is in the middle. just a thought. OH OH OH how do you find out about future foods??? I'd like to see what is up and coming.

You have to faithfully read thru every thread to keep track of whats going on around here! Anywho... the dish from the JC food specialist is that for the March temporary releases they are planning a Breakfast Bowl (w/eggs, potatoes, cheese, peppers, & veggie sausage), Teriyaki Chicken and Swedish Meatballs for lunch, Beef Sirloin with Mushroom Sauce for dinner, and Apple Coffee Cake for dessert.
Not much there for the vegetarians, I think. Hopefully when they re-vamp the entire menu in May they might throw in a bunch more veggie foods. And hopefully some more whole grain foods!
Best Wishes,
Angela
this is what I do: follow my planned menu as close as I can, but there are few options of veggie - meatless food. But I've found some great vegan food in west coast, check out at: www.starlite.com
It's NOT a weight loss program, just a company that sells delicious vegan food.
Good luck to all of us!

It's NOT a weight loss program, just a company that sells delicious vegan food. And they are also low fat, low sodium low price. YUM!
Good luck to all of us!
