What's your favorite cheese substitute?
The one made with soy? Or rice? Or the veggie slices? I think there is a Tufu one too. I haven't been to the Health Food store in a while. I will have to go and give them all a try again and see which one I like the best.
It would be more helpful if they all had the calorie and fat grams listed. I will have to give them all a try again and see which one tastes the best and melts the best.

Doesn't anyone have a cheese substitute that they like the best?

Sorry! I don't have one but I've never really tried any. I just have a cheese-less life.

I usually do not buy them because many have caseinate(milk protien) in them. I have used nutritional yeast(and know of many recipes using this in making cheese subs.) I also put avocado on sandwiches instead of cheese or mayo.

Hi,
I finally found "cheese" slices made by St. Yves. They are soy products and so far I have tried cheddar and jalepeno jack. Combine a cheese slice and Weight Watchers bread, use Pam and make a nummy grilled cheese sandwich for about 125 cals!!!
