Okay, I am going to be away from home without a refrigerator or stove etc. My question is, how do you guys plan your veggie lunches for times like these?
One option that I was thinking of was to have my Breakfast. (No problem) Save all of my yogurts, fruits and salad for snacks and lunch away from home and then have my dinner at dinner time as usual. I will have the use of a Hotel lobby microwave and can heat up my dinner at that time. Will the frozen foods keep in a cooler for a few days?
The other option that I was thinking of was to bring a thermos and have soups for lunch time. I can heat up some hot water in the Hotel lobby. Has anyone tried taking their JC soups in a thermos. My favorite is the Parmesan soup. Don't really like the Garden Veg soup. I am starting to aquire a taste for the Tomato soup. I try to stay away from cheese because it makes me retain water, as far as having a sandwich with soup. What kind of sandwich do you have with your tomato soup?
How did you guys manage away from home without a refrigerator, stove etc.? I think the soup in the thermos will work. I guess I will be just fine. I want to stay away from fast foods and restaurants because of the large amounts of sodium etc. always make me blow up like a blow fish with water for a week. I am not a big fan of the Pasta Fagioli, but I can force myself to eat it if I have to. And I guess I can have the Tortellini for dinner time too. That is, if the frozen dinners won't keep in a cooler for a few days. What has worked for you in this situation? Need tips from all of you experienced JC veggie vacationers.
Thanks!
Connie
