What's your favorite exercise?
I guess that is a subject that this Forum hasn't addressed yet.
I have tried a variety of things. I try to change it each day, so that I do not get bored. I loved exercising/dancing to my favorite music, but being I have back problems that flare up every once in a while, I found my favorite form of exercise is swimming. In the pool for two hours. I do arm rolls, dog paddles, bicycle riding etc. Any kind of exercise you can do out of water, I try to do in water. Less stressful for my back. Less aches and pains afterward. More relaxing and enjoyable. Love when I can get my teenage daughters in with me and play volley ball, with the beach ball in the water. That's a lot of fun too and good for those arm muscles.

Hey, Connie!
That sounds so cool! Can you swim year round where you are? Do you have your own pool? If I had a pool, my husband would have to drag my pruny butt out of it every day. My favorite exercise right now is bowling, but it's hard to do consistently, since I hate to bowl alone and I'm really, REALLY bad at it. Mostly I go to classes at my gym: Body Conditioning, Nia, Kickboxing, Yoga, and Spinning. It seems I need the other women moaning, groaning, and flailing with me, and the encouragement of the instructor to stay on track.Deedee
My two favorites: the Precor elliptical machine and biking. My biking I usually don't even count as exercise, so that I do it when I want and I enjoy it more. It's nice to add to a week.
And the Precor elliptical machine (if you don't know what one is - best to do a search on google.com - images section - for elliptical: for me, it's like running in mid-air and easy on joints) - well, it's just a God-send for me. Love it. Lots of different programs (give you different inclines) and the resistence you can set too. the new ones have a heartrate monitor on the handles and when doing a program, you can punch in your age and weight so you can see your target heartrate and calories burned respectively.
I just check my heartrate every once in awhile and it lights up where I am in the target zone. It's wonderful and so informative. And you can pedal backwards too. I've never felt as strongly as I do for this one - and the features really help to make it a great workout.

My faves are the Precor Elliptical and Spinning class.
I love spinning. It is more exciting than regular stationary bikes and you get a great workout. I use a heart rate monitor so that I work within my target zones.
The Ellipse is also great too. I do about an hour. I never seem to get bored with it too.
I also do lots of walking. I have been taking a 20 minute walk to and from the office. I used to tak a second train, but I have conditioned myself to get off and walk. I try to do it at least 3 times a week.
