Today is Day 2 for me.. and just when I was starting to think that I was going to have trouble finding something that was tasting good.. I had the Meatloaf!!
I can't believe how good it was! I am very picky and it was so delicious..
I hope I can find more meals like this..
I wasn't thrilled with the chicken in the chicken fetticiune (sp?)
I am thinking the salisbury steak will be similar and hopeful that I will like the mac and cheese..
I am really afraid to eat any chicken dishes because of the quality of chicken in the fetticiune..
Please tell me that most of the meals are like the yummy meatloaf!! It was sooo good.. I could have that everynight if I need too..

The Meatloaf is my fav too. Try the Turkey and Gravy, but don't over cook it. I always cook it to the first time it gives.4-5 mins. Always the 4 mins. That goes for all the food. I didn't really like the chicken fet. either because the chicken was too dry, I tried cooking it a little less and it's better, now. I also like the Mac and cheese and am going to try the rising crust pizza and the new chicken with beans this week.

sunryz710: Let me share something with you. When I joined, I was not crazy about any of the food. How could I be? I'm a 5-star chef! But I realized, I'm not eating this food to like it, I'm eating it to lose weight and it has worked - brilliantly!
Now, I do think there are some foods you will like and others you won't like, just like anyone else on the JC program. But keep your eyes on the prize and you will have incredible results just like I have!
I know it's really scary putting the decision as to what you will eat into someone else's hands, but I'm here to tell you, that decision was the BEST one I ever made and I think you will find the same thing!
Wishing you all the best!
PS: The lunch Chili Con Carne tastes similar to Wolf Brand Chili - so you should like that!

Hello Sun, thanks for your review of the Meatloaf, I have held off trying it because I had in my mind from the last time I tried JC that I didn't like it. Perhaps I'll have it tonight.
I'm not big on chicken in general, so I've mostly stayed away from the chicken dishes, although today I did have the Southwest Chicken for lunch and kinda wish I'd stayed away from it. I can say that the Cashew Chicken has been one of my favorites though, so I guess they're all different.
Most of the other dishes I've LOVED. Oddly enough, my favorite has been Lentils & Beef, even though I don't care much for lentils and generally prefer the frozen meals to the ones that are shelf stable. I also really liked the Bean & Bacon soup (which you get a 1/2 sandwich with) and the Beef Chow Mein for lunches, and the Cashew Chicken (mentioned above) and the Beef Sirloin and Rice for dinners.
Hope all are enjoying their food!

The beef sirloin is out of this world. You have to like bbq sauce though. It is covered in it. The meat reminds me of my mom's sunday roasts. Very tender and moist. That is my suggestion. Oh, as for the chicken. I think the closest thing to "real" chicken is the chicken sandwich for lunch. Don't cook it for as long as they say to on the box though. It will turn to rubber. But try the chicken sandwich. It is not "fake" chicken.

I think most of the meals are downright delicious. But then I am not what anyone would call a picky eater. I made a point of trying everything on the menu once and I gave everything a rating. As a result I enjoy so much variety on this program.
Be brave! Try everything once. Nobody can tell you whether or not you'll like a certain item. Only your tastebuds can tell you this. I had many (yummy) surprises during my try-it-all period.
PS -- Agree with all posters who say start the cooking it at the low end of the recommended time. You can alsways sample and put back in if it needs to be more done.

PrincessRose, a 5-Star Chef and you're eating JC, now that's inspiring! I wonder if your mindset is similar to mine, but I'm trying not to attach too much importance to meals. I just think of them as easier, healthier and portion-controlled than I was eating before and I try to keep my eye on the goal. I've taken a lot of your tips with veggies, etc and it makes everything much tastier. That's not to say I'll eat everything. The potstickers, the new chicken barbecue, and those choc.pretzel things are all no for me.
