Are you ready to quit goofing off and get BACK ON TRACK?
TODAY IS THE DAY!! Don't look back. Pick yourself up, dust yourself off, and start over again. Get out your journals, food scales, program literature, and start fresh!
These are the 8 Weekly Challenges:
WEEK ONE: JOURNALING - focus on writing down every bit of food or drink that goes in your mouth. Try writing in the journal in 2 colors…One for the planned meals and a different color for the unplanned snacks , BLT’s and grazing, Once this week, post your previous day's journal to the thread.
WEEK TWO: PORTION CONTROL - focus on weighing and measuring. Share your best suggestions for controlling portions and for controlling overeating impulses.
WEEK THREE: WATER - drink required water. Post one helpful suggestion for getting water in.
WEEK FOUR: VEGGIES / FRUIT - eat all required f/v servings. Share a preparation recipe.
WEEK FIVE: DAIRY - get in all required dairy servings. Tell us about your favorite way to get in dairy. Share a recipe using dairy.
WEEK SIX: EXERCISE - focus on earning a few more APs than usual. Try a new exercise this week, or do one you don't normally do.
WEEK SEVEN: MENU BALANCE - focus on the amounts of fat, fiber, carbs and proteins that you get in your diet. Have you been feeling full? Could you stand to make some adjustments?
WEEK EIGHT: EMOTIONAL PERSPECTIVES - focus on emotional issues raised by your weight, or weight-loss. Are you having trouble with night-time eating? Binges? Each day, try to find one thing that qualifies as an NSV.
All are welcome, we love new friends!

Good morning all! I've got about five minutes before heading to work - and I'm kind of bummed today. I've been fighting some pains in my right knee (old injury from high school!) and today I woke up and it was screaming at me...so I'm going to rest from running until Monday and do the bike and lift weights all weekend. I'd hate to hurt it to the point where I couldn't work out at ALL.
Anyway - I've noticed that since I've been getting my weight under control, the rest of my life seems to be falling into place too. My house is cleaner. My bills don't see so bad (student loans..blah!). Maybe it's because I'm finally getting the energy to take care of things.
B: Frosted oats cereal and fruit
S: vanilla yogurt
L: Broccoli and cheese stuffed potato
S: fruit
D: Chicken fettucine and green beans
S: Toffee bites!
Remember:
Walt Disney said "All our dreams can come true, if we have the courage to pursue them."
Good luck today!

So..back on track today and honestly, am excited to eat my jenny food this week!

Welcome back thin!... 1lb for 5 days... I call that a WIN!!!... during my bingeing in April, when I went to New York... I gained 15lbs in 5 days... and that's a fact... I refer to it as "eating my way through New York City"... not pretty and very destructive... thank goodness Im not that person anymore That 1lb will be gone in no time at all!!!

Mornin' All... true to my word, I'm back to checking in every day (missed a couple of days when my 'puter died).
My food arrived Tues. afternoon; my consultant called Wed. afternoon; and I started the program this morning.
I hate exercise so I've been moving furniture around all morning - that should count for something, right?
Wishing you all a day of positive thoughts and conscious choices.

Kjun, welcome! I am near the end of my program, only 6 lbs to go, but I seem to have developed a "grazing" habit. It's just a handful of crackers or nuts occasionally, but it is hindering my losses. I go home for lunch and that is dangerous, so I think I will EAT and then leave the kitchen - go to the basement and walk while watching All My Children. Weather is not good for outdoors right now. Need a beekeeper suit against mosquitoes.
I will check my menu, at yesterday's WI I only lost what I had gained the week before (.6lb) and I want to see some loss next week!
Will post after lunch.

Good Morning all you awesome JC'ers! This week has been such a mental struggle that I feel absolutely like a 100 pound weight has been lifted off my shoulders since I've made it to Thursday and been ON TRACK the whole time. I'm really starting to feel like I have the tools to maintain and continue to succeed even off the JC food. It's liberating...and I wish you all a wonderful successful journey getting to your goals!!! I've been running 4.6 miles everyday this week and NO PAIN! No more lower back pain (from the 20 pounds around my middle that used to be there, well 17.8!) no more weird hip flexer pain...I'm running free and feeling stronger everyday! THANK YOU JC AND THANK YOU ALL YOU LOSERS FOR YOUR SUPPORT!!! My day is:
B: Kashi Bar, Blueberry/milk smoothie
S: yogurt
L: LC Mac & Cheese, salad, Newman's light dressing
S: strawberries & FF Cool whip
D: JC Meatloaf w/ BBQ sauce, green beans and carrots steamed
S: Double Choc. Cake YUMMO
I'm sending out the L.O.V.E. to all my JC friends. We can do this!

Happy Thursday JCers!!! (I am taking the off work tomorrow -- so this is like my "Friday!") This week has had many stresses (husband out of town on business, kitty to the vet for 3 days!, 7 yo son feeling ill after day camp yesterday, and then the regular work stress), but I stayed faithful to the program. I'm thinking I'll see a loss for sure on Saturday morning. Oh, and my clothes are just hanging on me. I ordered some new pants from Eddie Bauer yesterday. I have the size 10 -- but it's now riduculously too big -- so yesterday I ordered the size 8!!! New clothes are really the best reward!!!
b: 1 c. Kashi cereal, skim milk, coffee
s: AT peanut butter bar
l: chicken salad kit, salad w/ dressing
s: 1 apple, coffee w/ non-dairy creamer
d: turkey burger, add peppers and onions, carrot sticks
s: cookies & cream cheesecake

Congrats Amy!
I thought I would end up a solid size 14, but I am already there and have a few pounds to go. So, in some things, maybe a 12!
Yippee! GL on your WI Sat!

I'm in an 8 now too Amy!! Doesn't it feel awesome to see the results of our hard work??? I'm going to buy a couple new pairs of pants after work tonight because I have to project a professional image at work and it's hard to look professional when your waistband is sinched in with safety pins and you have one hand to greet someone and one to hike up your slacks! LOL Yay for all us losers!

What a cute reference Soprano_L! I haven't tried the safety pin route I just keep buying new pants at the resale shops!

The "safety pin" reference is hiarious -- especially 'cause that's exactly how I had to wear my skirt to work today -- safety pin to cinch in the waist!!! The new pants I ordered yesterday are my first new clothes since losing. I've just been enjoying the loose clothes, but I realized this week that there's "loose" then there is, "these are just too big!"
