Okay, so weeks 1-4 were great! I was motivated, I exercised, I stuck to the plan...week 5...not so great. I haven't exercised at all - I've pretty much stuck to the plan, but not completely (in other words - no BIG ***** ups, but certainly some little cheats). I'm frustrated with myself because so far I've been a model JCer, and now I just can't seem to get back into the swing of things. Everyday I wake up with the 'today is a new day' attitude, and by 3:00 I'm starving and craving bad things (Pizza Hut is the devil - although I haven't given in). In weeks 1-4 the portion sizes of the JC food were great, but now in week 5 I feel like I'm missing something (shouldn't it be the other way around?). I'm eating TONS of free food (where I haven't before) and I feel like maybe I'm eating WAY too much. I don't feel like I've made any progress this week - I just feel blah. I guess it will show one way or the other at my WI on Wed. Did anyone else go through the 5 week slump - is this normal?

Hey Shay,
As you can see from my stats - I did indeed hit a 'slump' right in that time frame - it comes and goes - it ebbs and flows...that's why it's so important to remember your overall goals. I have crazy weeks when I'm up - and crazy losses - but mostly it's that 46 lbs. are gone...
Just stick with the plan. When the munchies occur - get that water going. When you're feeling blah - go for a stroll, have an oxygen moment outside - you can DO this!
And I tell you - coming to these boards has been an ongoing source of comfort and education for me. Come here instead of heading for the big mac.

shay191: There's nothing wrong with eating lots of free foods! The last week or two I've been eating lots of raw veggies with a little fat free dip.
I'm wondering if you are taking a good multivitamin? That might help you. The thing is, you need to find the right multivitamin for you. I had to try like 6 or 7 brands to find the right one and then I tried GNC Gold and my energy perked up and I started feeling noticeably great! The strange thing is I tried the GNC for Women and it didn't do anything for me! Go figure!
Anyway, hang in there! You are doing just fine!

I struggle everyday with thoughts of what im missing out on.Everyone does if not once a day twice some none and some of us all day.
Im eating sunflower seeds right now as im typing.I came to the board to stop.
Do the best you can and try to gain control
as soon as you see your self slipping.
Its not going to get any easier, im a few weeks ahead of you and feel the same way.
But im not going to quite and nor are you.
You dont want to spend the rest of your life battleing being over wieght. Now I kinda ruined my whole day by eating those stupid seeds and its only 2 oclock.
better go work them off with a bike ride or something. No one can save you but yourself.
