Anyone know what JC's policy is on returning/exchanging unopened food? Specifically the pantry items? So far EVERY pantry item I've eaten (minus the chili's) have been awful. I tried the Chicken Salad today (even doctored it up) and it smelled like cat food and I'm pretty sure that's what cat food tastes like, too. BLECH! I have another CS in my fridge as well as a few questionable pantry items still waiting to be eaten. Rather than waste more money, I wonder if they'd just let me exchange them for meals I know I like. So far this week, I have "tossed" 4 meals only half eaten. Not good. I am going to be soooo off by my WI. Just not a good JC week for me.

I once had to return anytime bars. The manager told me they cannot accept returns on the food - unopened or not. She just gave me a new box and told me to throw the other one away (they had given me the wrong flavor).
It really sucks when you pick something you don't end up liking... HATE the sweet and sour chicken.

I figured as much!
OH well, live and learn. I won't buy anymore pantry items, no matter what my consultant says. Regardless, if I know there is something in my kitchen I am dreading, I will avoid it and end up eating something I shouldn't.

I've never yet had a pantry item - canned food grosses me out. But I can tell you - the frozen options are divine! I especially love the pancakes - the muffins - the french toast...the potatoes, the meatball sandwiches...etc.
Stay the course, my friend. you'll do great!

I absolutely agree the frozen items surpass the pantry... I only ordereing three pantry items this time, the swedish meatballs, becuase I hadn't tried them <and I won't get again, ok, but not good>... I love the Chili con carne!, it makes a great taco salad!... and the chicken pasta one was good, for me anyway... but, the frozens are YUM YUM!

There are only a few of the pantry items that I like. I did try most of them once though.
I don't order the soups or any canned items.
I had the same feeling about the chicken salad that you did. I forced myself to eat it becaus it was all I had for lunch, but I sure didn't enjoy it at all!

I'm such a geek, I LOVE the pantry items! My fav is the lentles and beef, I like SW chx & rice, I just roll it up in a FF low sodium tortilla shell, the tortilini is really good, i just had the bean and ham soup today, very good! I HAVE to save money as much as possible and so I HAVE to love what i get.
Today, I bought some tuna, crackers and apple sauce and plan to make my own tuna kit thingy. My secret?? Use FF plain yogurt to mix it, you don't even notice the difference. I also use that in place of sour cream for a burrito (before I started JC) but I'll add it to anything that might taste better with SC...honestly, you will not notice a difference...except for the consistency. I don't know, maybe you will! Since I like the shelf food and most don't...

I don't like the soups- well most of them. I ahd the beef and mashed potatoes for dinner tonight - YUCK! But I like the frosted oats cereal, triple grain crisps, fruit and granola, cranberry almond cereal... Most of the dry items. The Hawaiian chicken salad isn't too bad, but the crackers are gross.
Maybe you could sell them on ebay if the center won't return them? I did that with leftover Nutrisystem food when I got pregnant.
