has anyone done both? i've noticed a few meals seem to be packaged exactly the same.. what's the difference besides some of the selections? curious as i know nutrisystem is cheaper but it could be because of the no counseling.. ?? and no centers pickup/
but has anyone noticed that the products seem the same if not similar? i hear lots of complaints about nutrisystem and how the food isnt' that good which i find this food to be the same.. and i did like NS but i guess i am also not a picky eater. the only thing i could not swallow were their eggs..

i tried both - quite a few times in fact along with everyother wt. loss plan available. i did like ns food but there was no accountability to keep you on track. i need accountability face to face. you have to order a month at a time and if you want something on a particular week that isnt there you are out of luck. with jc i order my food weekly and even if i decided mid week i was in the mood for something i could go to center and pick it up. i even tried some foods that i never ate before and wouldnt try before and now they are some of my favorites. i also had a problem with ns being out of food i liked and had to go a month without it and hope it would come in with my next order. sometimes they sub other foods if they are out also - too bad if you dont like the sub. sorry this is long but jc food beats ns hands down in my book. also with the rewards program the costs don't differ that much after the first few weeks on the program

I've done both programs and did not like a lot of NS foods. I hotdogs were 'gag me' gross and so were the eggs. In fact, I have a 4 week supply of their food that I haven't even opened because I thought I would give it another go around but just couldn't bring myself to it. To me the frozen dinner make all of the difference for me because the food tastes fresh.

I too have been on NS. From what I remember the food is disgusting. I do not like the shelf life type of food anyway. The frozen JC food does seem to be fresher. My philosophy is that f I enjoy eating the food I will be motivated (along with the price tag) to stay on the program (regardless of which one I am doing) I have now convinced myself that I am worth the money I spend on JC. I also need to be held accountable to get on the scale and have someone else take my measurements. If I wasn't I may skip a week of weighing myself and there begins the bad habits cycle I am trying so hard to break. (When you already have 4 weeks of food that seems to be a long streach of time)
This is just my opinion.

I have tried both as well. I am a very picky eater and the NS food just didn't cut it. There wasn't anything on the menu that tasted good to me. It ended up being about the same price, and the accountability of having the consultant each week justifies the extra little bit of money. Plus the freedom of choice for the food is greater.

I was on Weight Watchers when I bought NS food because I was out alot w/ running errands, etc.. and wanted to take my food w/ me. My husband is in the Army and HE said it was nasty!!
My neighbor just lost 17 pounds on it. She said "you're right" the food is horrible and I can't return it so why NOT eat it. Yuk!

I did NS, the food was terrible (I still have alot of it in my pantry) I ended up eating store bought food while I was supposed to be on the program. Needless to say, it didn't work.

I did NS about 17 years ago...lost weight but the food was awful. I kept the weight off for about four years, then had my son and have gained gradually ever since. When I decided it was time to lose the excess for good, I ordered a shipment of NS (I'd heard they had improved the food), but I was sorely disappointed. Most of their stuff still tastes like cardboard to me. In contrast, I can honestly say I LIKE the JC food...and I never feel deprived, like I did with NS. There is simply no comparison, in my opinion.

I actually did ordered a month of NS food back in December. I still have almost all of it. For me, I need the accountability and I didn't like most of the food. JC food is much better, although a few of the non-frozen items taste like NS.
My cousin has lost 70 pounds on NS, so it does work for people. I believe there is no certain plan for someone. Some plans wor better for certain people. Find what you think you can stick to and go with it.

I would NEVER recommend NS to anyone! My DH and I tried it last year for a couple of months. We ended up not sticking with it because we felt the food was DISGUSTING! We had a lot of food left over (that we'd paid for - GRRRR), so we donated it to the local rescue mission. Hoped they could do something with it - or they could pitch it if they wanted.
The JC food has been EXCELLENT so far! My DH and I haven't found anything we disliked yet. I think having the food frozen really keeps it fresher and better tasting. JC is more expensive, but we figure if we eat the food and stick with the program, it will be worth it. Plus, we've wasted LOTS of money on food in our lives, so if the cost helps us lose weight, we're really winners! LOL

NS has the worst food I've ever tasted! I ordered it and only ate the Mac & Chesse. I basically wasted money. I couldn't even give the food away!

I actually liked NS -lost 20 lbs on in about 2 years ago. I think the food is very similar to Jennys. The shelf food of course (NS muffins were a bit dry). I wish Jenny had some breakfast bars or lunch bar options. They are great when you are away from home or on the run.
I need the accoutablity otherwise I would stick to NS - 1/2 the cost. Maybe I'll go back once I get my weight down and use it for maintenance instead of JC food.
Everyone has such differing tastes - just like Jenny food - one loves it - someone else thinks it is disgusting - lol
If money is an issue I def say do NS and find a buddy to keep you motivated.

i would say i so far find the frozen foods different than nutrisytems but JC 's shelf entrees are almost the same.. so i choose more frozen and also the desserts /snacks are much better

I was on NS for the last 3 months and I have to say i hated the food! I had to doctor the food all the time and it was all sauce with a little bit of meat. I like the JC food much better.
