Are you struggling to stay on plan? Then this thread is for you. Many of us lose our way because life gets in the way. Be it illness, family, schedules...whatever the case may be, we all struggle at one time or another.
The important part is to make sure you stay focused at those troubling times; focused on yourself. Be selfish in your fight to lose weight. Make sure to take care of yourself first!
If you've just rejoined JC or need to get back on track because you're not following program, or just because you need a little more accountability and support, this thread is for you too.
We have found that posting a daily menu is really beneficial in staying on track for the day, so please do. Reference your menu often daily too, and check it to see what's on the "Menu". If there's nothing left, then all you can have is Freebies or a planned meal on your own. The whole idea is to PLAN, and follow through.

Good morning, waist managers! Today is DD's birthday. sniff sniff. She's 12. I pray she'll have a good day at school today.
Got to exercise yesterday... that's 4x already this week. If I go today, that will be 5x before tomorrow's WI, the most I've had so far!
I did get all the water in yesterday, finally. And the chocolate cake really helped with my Aunt Flo issues this week. My DD ate a big slice of her triple chocolate birthday cake, and I got to eat some chocolate cake, too!
Speaking of Aunt Flo, do any of you feel much hungrier during that time? So far on JC I've had a pretty easy time not feeling too hungry, except the first week. Not surprisingly, the first week was Aunt Flo, too. Now it's week 5 and Aunt Flo is back, and I'm starving all the time! I haven't cheated, but MAN it's been hard to resist temptation. Even my JC food is tempting me! I've tried all the tricks... eating SF jello, extra veggies, smoothies, lots of water... I can't wait for this week to be over.
Today's menu:
B: Blueberry muffin, yogurt, nectarine
L: Meatball stuffed sandwich, big spinach salad, SF jello
S: Carrots, another nectarine
D: Macaroni & Cheese, asparagus
S: Chocolate Walnut Brownie, smoothie
At least 64 oz. of water, and one 30 minute walk today, too.
And BTW... Paulina was ROBBED! She was so graceful and beautiful, much better than that Leeza Gibbons! Just because it was her birthday, they cut her some slack. Oh well. As long as Joey, Apolo and Leila stay on, I'll keep watching. And my DD loves John Ratzenburger and Billy Ray Cyrus.
And did you SEE Sanjaya's HAIR??? Freakish! I don't even remember what he sang because I was so entranced by the dance his "hair" was doing on his head as he moved. I think someone needed to shoot it with a tranquilizer dart.

Good Morning Ladies,
Well my plans today got cancelled on account of snow with more in the forecast. At least I get to post this morning.
Drumroll please {}{}{}{}{} (ok they look more like bongo's bye hey whatever) Another -1.4 lb. loss this morning.
Since I will be home today I don't think I'll have a problem getting my water in. I'm gonna try for 96 ounces today. Want to keep that scale going in that direction.
Didn't make my 64 ounces of water yesterday or 2 of my 3 snacks. Today will be better.
Still a little stiff from hauling and placing the flagstone, but it looks really good. Even the employees said what a nice job it was.
Here's the Menu:
B: Cereal, milk, orange, turkey bacon (getting tired of that any suggestion on an alternate breakfast meat?)
S: Praline AB, yogurt
L: Garden veggie soup, salad w/grilled chicken for meat serving, FF dressing
S: 100 cal snack pack
D: Jenny rising crust pizza (which means family has excuse to order Domino's) spagettie squash
S: Chocolate chip cookie bar

Shannon--Congrats on the awesome WO schedule. You are really determined. I'm proud of you. You GO girl!
I've never heard it called Aunt Flo before that's pretty funny. But I have the same problem. I am always hungrier and fine control a big issue and struggle during that time. Hang in there, you'll get through it. Keep lots of SF Jello around.

hi all just got home & eating lunch. didn't get my WO in yesterday, but did do 1/2 hr of yard work take as i can get it sometimes. i did get 45 min in @ the gym on the elliptical. taped some programs this morning on fit tv so tonight maybe i will try some yoga. my WI is tomorrow morning so i am deff getting all my water in today, so far i am up to 40+ oz i lost track!

Good grief! I just realized I hadn't even sat down to say hello today. I got a wild hair and decided to pull some weeds in the yard this morning, and wow, it turned out to be quite some project. I'm probably not going to be able to get out of bed in the morning.
I'm working on my 3rd bottle of water, so I think I'll do pretty well with that today, but I am starving!! I had a couple of saltines when I got in from the yard because I was feeling yucky from getting hot. Scarfed my lunch down (chicken and rice medley, not my fav) and now I'm counting the hours till dinner. I haven't had my yogurt yet, so I'm going to have it before I take dd to rehearsal for the school talent show. I hate Aunt Flo, the witch makes me hungry!

Hi guys - looks you are all cycling a week after me. Wouldn't that be funny if we all started cycling together in this group? I usually say Aunt Flo or my mom's favorite "I fell off the roof".
Anyway, I have no period related excuse for eating off-program every day starting Friday night. I guess the best analogy would be that I am like Britney Spears, walking away from rehab (till I get back from Disney on 4/6). So much for hitting the 150's before spring break. So my new plan is to stay on program from tomorrow morning through Sunday night (usually my treat night) so there will be some damage control before Disney. Then back on program Saturday 4/7 to get a flatline or .5 loss on Thursday 4/12.
At least I got all my workouts in while I was strapping on the feedbag - criminy...

Hello!!! Boy I didn't even come back like Marla. LOL.
Today has gone very well, except that I woke up at 6:00, and leave the house at 6:30, LOL. I'm so sore from doing pull ups at the gym on Monday. Tonight I go and torture myself a little bit more. LOL. I'm determined to get this flabby flab gone from the back of my arm.
This morning I actually walked into Starbucks and found a CD that I am totally loving listing to...Remember Neil Young? This is Live at Massey Hall, 1971. It's so good.
I never heard from my brother yesterday, so I just figure, either my SIL read the email and he's upset, and she's upset, but you know what...I DON'T CARE. They've made the lives that they have, it's not my burden. Of course it's bothering me a little, that's my nature. I don't want to hurt anyone, but I just needed to lay the cards on the table and be done with it. No overeating over it.
The scale was happy today, said 176.5. Let's hope I can hang onto that until Friday. LOL. That's what I said last week, huh. Heeheehee.
Water, well, I'm almost done with my 67.6 oz for the day, also had a Venti coffee. So I'm good on hyrdration.
I'll post a menu even though it's late:
B: stuffed sandwich, grapes, coffee, water, vitamins
S: water
L: 3 oz tuna salad, on 100 cal english muffin, 1 oz onion veggie chips, baby peppers, water, sf jello
S: clementine, brown rice asian snacks (1/4 cup
D: Fettuccini, lemon chicken, greenbeans
S: AB/coffee, sf fruit punch w/ice
The lunch was a momo, to save $. I used 1 can of all white albacore tuna, put 1 tbs of guldens mustard, and 2 tsp of mayo, 1 heaping tbs of dill pickle relish, and 2 celery stalks, toasted a 100 cal Thomas' english muffin. I swear, if I would still be in the 'eat anything' frame of mind, I would have made the other half of the tuna for tomorrow, and eaten 2 sandwiches.
Tonight I was going to go to Bally's but can't because I have to go look for ribbon for my GF's wedding invitations. I'll do some arm exercises at home tonight with a bottle of water. I promise myself!!!

I went out to lunch today with coworkers to celebrate a new intern coming in. Had a vegetarian burrito. So then I ate my cheesy enchilada lunch for dinner. Tryin to do my best!

Hi Ladies,
This week has been crazy. Many of my friends are on Spring Break from their jobs, so I have been getting together with all of them and their kids. It has been fun, but I feel like I have not sat down since Saturday.
Food wise, this week has been ok. I have had a few momo's, so that has had it's ups and downs. Last night I brought my Ravioli's to my friends house so that helped. What did not help was the piece of Garlic bread and wine I had Bad, I know, but I was back on track today.
I just finished dinner. It was yummy. I had Chicken Faitias and I had a meat left over from breakfast, so I had cheese. Yea...I miss cheese

Hey girlies! I can barely type right now, my right hand is so sore from digging weeds out of my yard, LOL! Dh is going to be so proud when he gets home tomorrow, I didn't mention to him that I was going to work out there. This weekend I'm going to get some flowers for all my planters and work on the beds, too. It's that time of year around here.
My dinner was so yummy, I had fajitas and steamed some zucchini and yellow squash. I've done OK today and have had a ton of water (which I feel like I'm retaining every ounce of right now). WI is first thing in the morning, so I'll let y'all know how it goes. I'm not expecting anything exciting, and will be happy with ANY loss or even a maintain.
Well, my back is telling me it's time to lay down, so I think I'll do that. Y'all have a great night and I'll post WI #'s first thing!

Marla, I hate sore hands after weeding. Yuck. Sleep well. I bet DH will be pleased. That's nice that he appreciates you and what you do in your home. {{{{skinnyvibes}}}} for your WI in the morning.
I roasted some almonds and had about 3 handfuls, probably shouldn't have, but I did, and it's overwith. Drank all of my water today, plus some.
Maureen, it's nice to have friends to socialize with. I have a ton of OL friends, and many real friends, that I don't see all of the time. But we try to stay in touch. And...the point of the exercise is that we get right back on track. I think you have passed that test. Horrah!!!
Liz, that's a very smart compromise!!
Better spend some time with my little guy. He's got either a slight cold, or allergies, but tonight he got allergy meds, and some Advil. I better tuck him into bed.
I want to make a wedding invitation for my GF's bridal shower. I really feel like playing with my paper. Hummm...Think I will (anything to keep my hands busy). LOL.
