Hello all!
just a curious question,( now I know that everyone does things at their own pace), but I thought that it would be interesting to know on an average how long did it take for you to lose 40#??
I am 6# away from 20 lost and am wanting to lose at least that much!
Thanks for any input!!

Hi,
I lost 46 lbs in 7 months.
It wasn't easy but it wasn't as hard as I thought it would be. I made it to goal right before Christmas and so far, maintaining OK.
I still have "attacks" of eating stuff that isn't good for me but I have learned not to let one slip affect my whole day/week. Every meal, every day, every week is a new opportunity to eat right and get the exercise I need and the good days far outnumber the bad ones, now!
Good Luck!

Thanks for asking. I think.
I lost 40 lbs in 18 weeks (Weigh ins, so not exactly). May 12 to September 6th. Another 27 pounds since then. Working on it!

i lost 40 lbs is about 3 months but had about about 125 to lose for my original goal weight and the more you have to lose the faster it comes off in the beginning.

I lost 35 pounds in the first 12 weeks, and then due to some things that had to be taken care of (stall due to low metabolism, problems getting Thyroid at proper levels), I only lost another ten pounds after an 8-week plateau, and then had to rebuild lost muscle over the next three months, during which I lost another 10 pounds.
Everyone loses at their own rate. Don't compare yourself to others, or even yourself to the last time you dieted. Circumstances change. Keep in mind that you are not just losing weight, but learning how to live to keep whatever you do lose from finding you again. This is about a lot more than just seeing a change on the scale.
If you stall, don't blame yourself or assume that "the diet stopped working." They all work. If you run into a stall, find out why—don't give up.

Great question! I love seeing all those results in real time. I'm very motivated right now and love that it's possible to start seing those big results if I just stay on program.
I'm doing all the right things, so I know my time is coming.
Congrats to all the big losers - you are my heros!!!! (... and thanks for the continued motivation!!!!)

I reached my 40lb mark in 15 weeks. But, as said earlier, I have a lot to lose, so in the beginning it probably came off a little easier. Plus, I was very good about working out everyday when I started. Been slacking off a bit there, have to get back on track with that.

It took me 23 weeks - from August 7 - January 15th, just a bit over 5 months. Not too bad, I don't think. Slower than others faster than some. I have at least another 40 to go and expect it to take some time!

It took me about 16 weeks to lose 40, but I am another who has a lot to lose so it's been coming off faster. Trust me, the time will fly!

I lost 55 pounds in 9 1/2 months. It is slower as you get closer, but Jenny works
Keep up the great work.
