Just a quick question. I signed up for the whole shebang, Jenny Rewards. From what info I was given initially it almost looks like the Dining Out Guide should have been included in the price. When I picked it up today, I was charged $17.95 (Cdn). Does anyone know if it does indeed cost or should I have received it with the startup fee? Thanks for your help!

It was included in the package when I signed up a week ago.

It was included in my whole literature thingy they gave me when I signed up for the Rewards program. They shouldn't have charged you.

I did NOT get it when I started. Its 10.95 I believe here in Oklahoma and I haven't purchased it yet. I am trying to NOT eat out or NEED it since I haven't hit half way yet. Is it worth having though? Even though I will have to pay for it, should I?
BTW, I go to a "francised" center and I think they do things a little different than the corporate stores. Our percentages never reach the high that I have heard others say theirs will. And our rewards program was more $$ upfront.

I thought the guide was helpful although I think portions of it are online at jennycraig.com. You can also peruse some of the offerings at varying restaurants at calorieking.com and calorie-count.com before you head out to a restaurant. Some restaurant websites now have nutritional info listed so you should check that out too.
I think the general rule of eating out is to split your plates into three sections with one half of the plate being veggies, a quarter being your protein (4 ounces worth) and then the other quarter being a starch (small potato, roll, etc). If you stick to the half veggie rule then you're in good shape generally. In most restaurants it can be done if you're diligent enough to stick to it.
