I was more satisfied my first and second week---I am hungry. Ok--I know I could eat more veggies, but how many carrots does a person want to eat in a day! The JC counselor said I need to be at 1200 cals, but is concerned that I am hungry.
It's almost time for me to leave work and I will eat dinner as soon as I get home, then save my snack for late evening.
I have been drinking more water than I used to, but do need to concentrate on that
I like most of the food on JC. Some stuff I will never buy again. I love the snacks.
I miss my "grazing" all day!!!! I guess that is probably why I gained weight. I don't eat a lot at once, but just like to eat continously.

You sound alot like me. I started 4/8/06 and weighed 175, my first week, I was not hungry. By the start of my second week I had lost 5.5 lbs. Started my second week and at the end I had lost 2.5 more pounds, but when the third week hit, I started to get hungrier. I did notice that if I execised more, I really was not as hungry, so I think that is my case, need to do at least 40 minutes of workout. Good luck to you and hang in there. I will to, my health depends on it. We can do it. Sharen

I was so glad to see your post. I thought I was crazy! I breezed through weeks 1 & 2 thinking that this was some kind of miracle diet. Now week 3 hits and by the time dinner rolls around I am STARVING. I added an extra cup of veggies at dinner and that seems to help. I also might try chewing sugar-free gum in between meals. I'm sure that staying busy (working out, going for a walk, etc) is really the key to getting you through the hungry times. I hope this passes and I get back to the way I felt in weeks 1 & 2.

I normally don't eat a lot in the mornings, so save some of that for the evening. I also eat more fruit than I am supposed to - I tend to go for a tangerine or watermelon to help fill me up because I get hungry in between dinner and bedtime. Now that I am on week 3, I notice I get really hungry around my scheduled meal time no matter what I have eaten during the day.
Today was my first day eating off the planned meal, and I got really hungry tonight. I was paranoid all day that I was going to eat too much! Once I counted my calories for the day, I realized I had only eaten about 600 calories before dinner - no wonder I was starving! Unfortunately, I jumped on the scale and weighed 3 pounds more than I did on Monday - unsure what is going on with that!
