As I mentioned in another post, I have no told anyone about JC and at this point, I don't intend to.
The problem is, my family is going to MIL's house for dinner on Thurs. She is a big European cook.
Not only is this my first week, I don't want to do anything to get off plan at this point.
What am I going to do or say? How could I take the food and swirl it around the plate..hehehe.. I think I HAVE to go, I can't be "sick". BUT, I don't want to eat. I WANT my JC!!!!
What should I do? Have you had this problem?

ad,
come clean with your family. they could give you alot of support and it does really help to let them know so that you have some cheerleaders at home as well as on the boards.
good luck

Offer to bring a salad, you know you can eat that. I would also consider telling everyone you are on JC. I tell everyone I know because it gives me accountability.
You need to look inside at why you don't want to tell anyone you are on JC.
Best of luck. I am down 20+ lbs in 7 weeks
I think you probably should tell your family, however, if you really, really don't want to you can always say (I've done this in the past with certain people) that you haven't been feeling 100% lately and the doctor thinks it could be diet related and wants you to avoid certain foods for a while. Call your MIL and explain and ask her what she is preparing. If its something with sauce or butter, etc. ask her if she would mind leaving your plain.

My wife and I went to my MIL for dinner the first week we were on JC as well.. we were happy to indulge in the vegetables she prepared and we took along our nooookable lasagna as well.. people tend to support not hinder those that are trying to eat better - especially family..
